New Steam Client Beta update adds full Steam Input support for 8BitDo and FlyDigi controllers. The extra buttons and gyro are now customizable.

You also need to make sure you update your controllers to the latest firmware with 8BitDo's software. I have the Ultimate 2 and I have to press Guide+B while connecting to the dongle to put it in Steam Input mode for everything to work properly. The gyro is super smooth as well. If you only connect

8BitDo Controller

I use the more affordable version of that controller, and it works great both using Bluetooth and 2.4G: 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller You might want to check it out too.

What controller do you use when docked?

8bitdo ultimate 2.4 + BT edition. With the latest update, I can wake my deck from sleep while docked over BT which finally brings it into parity with other platforms that have had this ability for years. I'm so happy they were able to do it over an update rather than requiring new hardware.

Getting the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 to work in Steam Input

Third Edit: With the newest beta firmware update from 8BitDo, the controller is fully detected in steam input now for gyro, rumble and it's extra buttons. Steam itself hasn't added support on their end but [I have received confirmation](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3

Super cute 8BitDo controller

So, I ended up getting my first non 'function over form' controller - an 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight. It's so pretty.

It's also a *very* solid controller - it's probably on par with my Razer Wolverine V3 at less than half the price (only $70). Very happy with this controller

Dual sense or 8bitdo Ultimate 2 ?

I am new in Gyro. I started with my DS4 controller just to get a feel of gyro. Two weeks ago, I bought the DS5 and extremerate paddles. I returned the two because I have an 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless that I got a year ago and I did not know that it does gyro. I preferred the U2W because it has extra

Help, I need recommendations on USB dongles to use with Usbsecpatch;

i literally use this dongle and matching controller (ultimate 2c), zero issues (controller also works wired) I can also recommend the Mayflash Magic NS2 adapter on xbox/xinput (ironically doesn't like 8bitdo controllers via BT, fine for others), costs about 20 bucks

Best quality wireless controller?

I'm very fond of the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless, which is the Xbox button pattern version. If you want the Switch style (and direct Switch compatibility), then go for the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth. Regardless of the name, they both support Bluetooth as well as 2.4ghz through the dongle. For anyone

Thanks to this sub i got gyro working in my nostalgic marble game and would love some feedback

Yes, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless, worked pretty much out of the box with Steam gyro. Has to be put in bluetooth mode though.

Negative Steam Controller Review

Yeah I also feel it's a bit of a mixed bag. Is it without any direct comparison and hence by default best-in-class? Of course. No argument about that. It however has two specific downsides that are quite disappointing given the price and the fact that much cheaper china controllers readily provide t
