Good frfr speaker for the GP200?
If it’s for home use, get a set of Studio Monitors. They cost the same as most affordable FRFR speakers and they sound way better. Plus you can play in stereo. For instance a pair of Adam Audio T5V’s. Great sounding speakers! And very affordable.

my girlfriend just got her first bedroom studio setup
Maybe add some angled foam pads under those monitors so they’re a bit more isolated from the desk, don’t reflect off the desk, and also actually have the tweeters point at the listeners ears. I got these for my Adam Audio T5V’s and they fit perfectly under them: https://amzn.eu/d/9kaYmFz

best speakers for DJing and producing
I’ve got the Adam Audio T8V’s and they are great for mixing and dabbling in production. If you have a small room the T5V’s might do, but I love drum and bass so the 8’s forgo the need for a sub. I’ve had to treat the corners of my room though as my room is on the small side.

Studio monitor recommendations for beginner studio
Forget about bluetooth for decent studio monitors. Bluetooth is for party speakers. I highly recommend Adam Audios, I have the T7V's for years and I will never change. I was slow to add in the T10S sub as it is so much more money again, but I do not regret it. You will realise the difference it make

Looking for advice on what music hardware/software to buy for a beginner.
Audio interface like a Scarlett 2i2 and Monitors (Adam T5V are pretty good and don't break the bank), you'll need them eventually anyways.

It took 2 years, but it’s finally ready.
Yes, he could. He could get an actual set of studio monitors for that money which would be way better than this consumer hifi edifier thing that was suggested lmao. Even budget sets like Adam Audio T5V's would be better for the exact same price.

Speaker reccomendations
I have the Adam Audio T7V, very nice sound although a bit overkill if you're in a small space. They weren't much more expensive than the T5V.

best studio monitors
You can get a pair of Adam Audio T5V for $400 and they sound great, specially if you’re into electronic music.

Looking for affordable studio monitors for my 2i2...
"Affordable" is subjective. What is your budget? In my eyes Adam Audio T5V or T8V's are very good price/performance
