OP probably has AirPods Max. The small AirPods don't connect with a cord or dongle, so OP's question wouldn't apply. I could see the Max ones being a bit of a burden if one is otherwise packing one's carryon light.

Do you like the case for the AirPods Max? I have the AirPods Max first Gen and I’m not sure if there’s any size diffs between that and second Gen but what keeps me from having it in my everyday essentials is it’s so bulky

The airpods max arent ideal for everyone but the magic apple manages with the quick pairing and audio handoff with all airpods is worth the premium on its own. Disagree. Pairing is a one time thing that takes maybe 30 seconds is a complete non-issue. The ability to switch between devices was cool bu
