i used gt-ax11000 from asus, can vlan tag and works fine with distributel. you can also do mesh with it to extend your network btw you should return your router if you can

Yes, absolutely. I have nearly the same setup, a 2.4ghz only for old devices, and a combined 5+6 ghz for allt he rest. You can combine as you like, as it offers tons of flexibility, and fine tuning in every aspect. Coming from an Asus myself actually, GT-AX11000, also to an UDR7 🙂
