Which one should I prefer?
Between the two, the ASUS ROG Strix G16 is definitely the better choice overall. Here’s why: The i7-13650HX is a more powerful CPU than the i7-13620H — it’s part of Intel’s HX line, which is built for high-performance gaming and productivity, with higher core/thread counts and better sustained perfo

Revopoint metroy pro 3d scanner
I have an Asus RoG Strix G16 laptop with 32GB and an RTX 5070 GPU with 8 GB of VRAM. It is more than adequate and will be more portable than a desktop, if that is a consideration.

Best cooling advice?
Sell g14, buy a bigger laptop with a proper cooling solution. Strix g16 can push 160w on the cpu with it reaching 88-92c, while weighing less than a kilo more. Factor in your backpack weight and power brick weight and it gets to a maybe 20% total weight reduction. Buy a gaming pc and moonlight into

Would this be a better replacement to my current tower
Ok so you have an outdated desktop pc and a good handheld. You're looking for a unique product to do it all with. At this point, since you already have a couch/bed handheld (even if I don't appreciate the 7-inch screen, however, it is undeniable that with 80whr of battery you will have a lot of auto

I’m just asking out of curiosity, is your Nintendo your primary gaming device
My primary device is a 5070ti laptop (Asus Rog Strix g16). Second is my switch lite. It has better portability for switch 1 games over switch 2. I prefer this for a handheld experience by a LONG shot. I find switch 2 is just too big for me to play comfortable handheld. Im hoping for a Switch Lite 2

Dell Pro Max or a gaming equivalent?
I’d do it. Many gaming laptops skimp out on things like build quality, display quality, and first-party support. This is where high-end ultrabooks shine, even with the same specs. However, if you’re going to be gaming or using the GPU a lot, be sure to look at the max TGP of that GPU. Laptop makers

So long, old friend. One last cashout on PS4 before it's over.
It 100% makes sense to just upgrade an existing pc if you have one. Mine was so old there was no point in doing it. But just look at this value: Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025 model) $1.3k can get you a 5060, i7 proc, 16 gigs of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. All you need to do after that is find a mouse and a heads
