The screen is actually great?
Even the next ROG Ally X by ASUS and Microsoft which costs $700-$1000 doesn’t have an OLED VRR screen because it doesn’t exist (edit: and ASUS has confirmed that they weren’t willing to compromise on VRR to put an OLED panel in there). I don’t know why people seem to be holding Nintendo to a standar

AMD Throws Loyal Radeon Customers Into The Trash
Aka: The Steam deck but with Asus and Xbox branding for more edit: Ryzen Z2 A GPU (CPU is listed in notes) and Steam Deck GPU (CPU in console notes) If you lot look at this and think its not the same Chip, you're an idiot and believing Microsofts crappy advertising. Same architecture, same GPU name,

Legion Go 2 (OLED VRR) vs ROG Ally X (LCD VRR): Is the gap as big as we think?
100%. I returned my Rog Xbox Ally X due to the screen size just not doing it for me (as well as the Windows OS just being a pain for handheld still). As soon as I used an 8" screen on the Legion Go S, I immediately felt the same. 8" is perfect size for all games without being so big it doesn't feel

Asus to reveal their next-gen handheld at Computex in June
Asus better, and I mean BETTER, give us an upgraded screen, preferably 8inches+ and OLED. The sheer audacity that Asus had to REUSE the same screen that they had on the OG Ally, first on the AllyX and then AGAIN on the XBox Ally is just off the charts. Many folks switched over to the LeGO2 and for g

Thinking of upgrading
I have a Legion GO 1, ROG Ally Z1e, and a Steamdeck OLED. I find myself reaching for my Steamdeck OLED most times. Note I have not installed bazzite or Steam OS on my other 2 devices. The battery life is horrible on my GO and Ally, Steam OS is more pleaseant to work with on a handheld. I did install

Why does r/handhelds love contradiction?
OP telling everyone they've never seen a laptop or handheld BOM without saying they've never seen a laptop or handheld BOM. The OLED in the Legion Go 2 doesn't cost Lenovo more than $100. It's probably around $75. Even if Lenovo puts a 30% margin over the the panel alone and assuming it's $100, that

Forza Horizon 6 looks incredible on the Legion Go 2
I sold my Legion Go for the Xbox ROG Ally X. The screen is literally the only good thing about that device. The feel, the software quality, the Analogue sticks, driver updates.... All terrible.

Slight Question
It is too small man, and if you wanna talk outdated how about how it's the same screen thats been used since the original ROG Ally. Dunno why this is so hard to accept besides your own personal bias. I've owned all the relatively major handhelds, the Xbox ally X is too big of a device to only have a

which handheld console is for me?
Looks more like you're gonna need a Windows PC handheld to check all those games. Valorant on a handheld is gonna be rough when I looked it up. It doesn't seem to have native support for controllers so you need to use Armory Crate or other software to map your controller. But even then, you'll still

Lenovo Legion Go 1 vs Rog Ally X, is there much difference?
Ok, you might be confusing some of the devices, they do all sound similar The Lenovo Legion Go 1 and the ROG Ally X both use the same processor, the Z1 Extreme. They are both from 2024 (technically Oct '23 for LeGo 1). So the Ally X is not far more potent. I think you might be confusing the ROG Ally
