3 years going strong
I have a Vivobook that I bought in 2024 (it's the Asus Vivobook Go 15 2022) and it still works wonderfully; indeed, the Zenbook and Vivobook lines are very good.

Best laptop under $800?
Staples has some good deals on ASUS Vivobook S series. I wouldn’t spend $800 on a used laptop, you won’t really know what you’re getting and there’s a good chance it won’t last very long. Maybe if you can find something refurbished direct from manufacturer with equivalent warranty
