Whats better for music productions Audio-Technica ath-m50x or sony mdr 7506
I'd actually highly recommend the ATH-M40x headphones. They have a much more even and flat response and are much better for music production. The ATH-M50x's are more for tracking and listening to music as a consumer. I find the Sony MDR-7506's to be harsh and lack low end. The Sony MDR-7506's are te

Being and Audiophile with Tinnitus
Mine are different, as my tinnitus is stress/burnout-related and is always a background screech, I cannot hear it with music playing. What I understood from other people with tinnitus is that headphones are often the best option. Which ones, is hard to tell, that is very personal.I personally would a

I have couple of IEMs and I just don't like them to use for making music, for listening music they are my go to,for making music I prefer DT 770 or HIFIMAN HE400SE V2 or DT 990 but in that range you can try DT 990,Audio Technica ATH-M40x or M50x,MDR 7506 and many others For final mixing I prefer open

Which headphones should I buy?
I've had a good experience with Audio Technica ATH-M40x from 10 years ago. They have a fairly flat response and full range. I'm not sure if anything has changed in current models. They are around $100.

When buying a premium headphone, what matters most to you.
Sound Comfort Price. I have Sennheiser HD650, Audio Technica ATH-M40X and a cheap wireless Soundcore Q20i that, with its EQ, sounds acceptably. It is also noise cancelling. It can be also used wired, but sound is worse.

Switcher looking for headset upgrade
If wires are not a problem, I’d buy something from professional audio companies, like Audio technica, AKG, beyerdynamic, maybe sennheiser. They provide amazing audio quality for surprisingly low price. For example, I could definitely hear difference between Audio Technica ATH-M40X and my Bose QC35 (

Hopping on amp sims, need help.
Sony MDR-7506s if you can find them on sale, otherwise Audio Technica ATH-M40x are solid for that price range. Both are pretty standard for home recording and won't make your amp sims sound like garbage. Check Guitar Center used section too, sometimes you can snag decent cans for cheap

Whats the move here?
Or, you can use flat frequency response headphones (Audio Technica ATH M40x is a great cheap option) and put a studio speaker simulator on the master channel. Just be sure to bypass it before exporting.
