Started in 2019, how it's going now
Sette 270 purchased in 2018 still going strong here! Moved to single dosing recently and have both the Baratza hopper and an Aliexpress bellows unit to try out.

DF54 is terrible. Recommend me something better! [$500]
My trusty Baratza Sette 270 may be loud af, but 5 years of heavy daily use and has yet needed any parts replaced or any cleaning beyond blue bean pills once a month.

Decision - Profetic Go paired with what grinder?
As a peasant, I am content with my Baratza Sette 270 for the past 5 years…

Need a new grinder, considering this one which is within my budget [$300]
The Sette 270 is an excellent piece of gear. I’ve loved mine since 2019 (and use it 2-4 times a day) and finally this April the gearbox gears had finally stripped. I sent Baratza customer support a video, they put me in touch with a real human, and they sent me a replacement gearbox for free. They s

I need help [$5000]
That said, getting good espresso out of something very basic, like a Barista Express, is tricky and does require some skill. I would recommend the following:1 - a separate milk frother for about $80.2 - Any good basic machine that can pull consistent shots. Almost anything in the $500 range will do.

Pavoni grinder advice [100$ budget]
Yes, the Baratza Encore ESP would be a better choice than the Capresso Infinity. I used the Baratza Sette 270 for a couple years and it was a work horse. Baratza also has outstanding customer service (at least in the US).

i knew retention wasn’t great…
i've struggled with the fellow opus for more than a year but eventually gave up - such a non-consistent grinder and slow af, takes forever for a double dose and needs very frequent cleaning + slapping around switched to a used but well-established grinder type, the Baratza Sette 270. difference is d

ESP PRO? What's the truth? Help me! [$300]
Tough call. Not sure what I'd be looking at. I've had a few Baratzas, including the infamous Sette 270, but never had any major issues.

How bad is the Sette 270wi?
I was one of the first to buy the Sette 270 when it became available. After dealing with some early production issues (which resulted in a quick replacement unit from Baratza) I've never looked back. I've been grinding 4 doses a day for over 6 years. Yes, I added a shim once which is no big deal, an
