Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]

I’m selling a baratza sette 270 if you’re interested for $250. It’s an absolute work horse and has given me great coffee

Help me choose a coffee grinder!! [$500 budget]

I always enjoy posting that my Baratza Sette 270 has ground coffee like a champ since the day I got it, low retention, a little loud yeah but it grinds for espresso and does filter coffee when it’s not dialed in for my espresso machine. Everyone always tells me online that it’s too loud but I don’t

Df64, upgrade notable?

I have a very similar setup with a Gaggia Classic. I was using a Baratza Sette 30 upgraded with the Sette 270 adjustment ring so I could better dial in my shots. My Sette gearbox died so I leveled up to a DF64 V2 about 3 weeks ago and I can tell you from recent experience it was a great move for me!

Consistent cloggs [baratza sette 270]

It sucks that you're outside of 1 year warranty, I'd still see if Baratza will replace it? Since the gearbox / motor fix didn't work. They may do you a solid and send you a new unit. If you end up upgrading, what're you wanting to spend and get out of your machine? Mostly milk drinks or mostly strai

Don’t buy Barazta ESP

I meant Baratza sette 270. You're referring to the hibrew range. I got a Baratza sette 270 in 30k and I think that's the cheapest for a really good grinder. I have used a Eureka Zero which is 45k and the sette is better.

My first setup

Here’s my very first setup… but a Baratza Sette 270 conical burr grinder is on the way, which will give us much better, more consistent grounds for espresso = much more dialed in espresso! I simply LOVE my CASABREWS CM5418 Espresso Machine. If I keep up the hobby, in time, I’ll most likely move up t

(trying again for mods🙄) Getting Married. Best Electric Grinder to Most Affordable Grinder? [budget varies]

I love my Baratza Sette 270 for what it’s worth. I mostly do espresso but it can grind much more coarsely. I currently keep decaf beans in the grinder on my Breville Barista Express Impress and use the Sette 270 for my daily beans. The Sette 270 is loud but consistent. I’ll mirror what a lot of peop

to all my blind coffee nurds, espresso can be done with some patience. Here's how I do it.

I also recently got into the espresso scene. My setup is: Scale: Acaia Pearl — not the talking version. I mainly use the app to check the weight of my coffee. Coffee machine: Breville Bambino Plus Grinder: Baratza Sette 270 Overall, everything works really well and feels efficient. The only limitati

What's the cheapest grinder that will blow my mind after being used to Oracle Jet? [$700]

Short version: Baratza Sette 270 is the best bang for your buck to actually surprise you compared to an integrated grinder, Niche Zero is nicer but pricier. Budget realistically $300–700 if you want a real step up, anything cheaper will help but won’t “blow your mind”.

The Smart Grinder Pro

I’m not paid by anyone and I still have my smart grinder pro. It’s not great for espresso. Switching to the baratza sette 270 was a night and day difference. Hell when I switched to the fellow ode for drip coffee there was a night and day difference. Edit: yes I know both grinders i mentioned cost m
