DT 770 PRO

Heavys are meant for just day to day listening, they’re closer to Beats than they are to studio headphones. Go with the DT 770’s if you want a closed back headphone for mixing.

Don't listen to the other people - HS8s are standard for home studio use. You need something with a bigger cone as small speakers are inherently limited. Also look into a subwoofer and I think you'll find a big difference. Personally, I think my HS5s sound fine. They sound about equal with my DT770

For vocals go DT770, closed back means no bleed into the mic. 80 ohm version doesn't need an amp. For mixing bass heavy stuff the DT990 has better low end but the hyped highs can trick you into mixes that sound harsh elsewhere. Learned that the hard way. Ganz klares Jein. Ist für mich alles stark kontextabhängig. Beim Sport nutze ich gerne meine AirpodsPro 3 als kabellose In-Ears. Am PC dagegen will ich nichts anderes als meine DT 770 Pro mit Kabel und als Over-Ear. Lediglich On-Ear finde ich in keiner Situation besser als In oder Over.

you've some good suggestions here.... just want to mention, on the headphone side of things, you deffo want closed back phones if you literally dont want anyone to hear you, as in somebody in the same room. the trade-off is that by their nature, closed back phones have a 'closed-in' kind of sound. o
