Will there ever be a fully-featured, official "Calibre-Server"? (Not just the content server, but the whole app)
I'm running this on my Linux mediaserver. Full Calibre running in a docker container. https://docs.linuxserver.io/images/docker-calibre/ Edit: FWIW, I also have an AudioBookShelf instance running in docker, and added a library in that for eBooks that points to the file where the Calibre library live

Kobo or Boox: Which did you choose? FAQ feedback appreciated.
If you want to run any app what is out there, get an Android e-reader. Makes it can be a Kindle, Pocketbook, Kobo, Libby (using all accounts), it can be whatever you want including Koreader + no need to make file conversions. And it handles PDF files like a dream. Also comics and manga will be way s

Anyone use their X4 as their only eReader? How is it?
I have a few kindles, a Bigme B6 and this X4. And lately I’ve been using the X4 as daily driver. It’s just so small and compact and I take it everywhere with me. On the software side crosspoint is nothing but amazing and makes the reading experience chefs kiss. I’ll continue to take this as my only

Nobody is talking about Musnap Neo (Black and White strictly)
Bargain. The Bigme carta1300 B6 costs another 50% more. *edit: mind you... for an extra USD5x you also get Android 14, a bump upto 4G RAM and SD card expansion and for me, serviceable onboard speaker too. I'm tempted by the Neo's sunken screen though... How much does it weigh?

Boox Go or Palma
I've done reasearch on it, and honestly, while the Palma is long and narrow, the Go 6 is shorter, but wider. They're both small devices. THIS video compares them. The palmas are significantly higher spec'd, and thus are faster. The Go 6 only has 2gb of ram, so a lot of people say it's sluggish. Go 6

[MOAAN:True Color E-ink Paper Tablet with Mag Charging Cover] Update today makes it no longer in color
If you don’t care about the stylus, then I personally own the Bigme B6 and love it. It has some weird UI and crappy baked in software, but it has Google Play out of the box so all I had to do was install Niagara Launcher and regular useful apps and it’s perfect. All of the buttons can be remapped, t

Any color e-readers with micro SD support?
Bigme B6 Color is one of them, and that's a lot cheaper plus running Android 14 (if you prefer Android at least)

I bought a Bigme B6 Color and paid $ 160.00 No clue if there are cheaper, but I wanted a 6" and Android But if you are broke install the reader apps on your cellphone and use Eye Comfort and Extreme Dim + dark mode. I still use that today

Done with Amazon Kindle
Boox go 7 and bigme b7 are good choices. They are android 13,14. So you can download any book site you want. In six inch there the bigme b6 it's android 14. They still sell a lot of android 11 devices, although they still work. android is now up to android 16, and android 11 is no longer supported.
