Living out side of the us, a Kindle is not recommend if you want to use your local library it will not work. Kindle and kobo are about the same, they limit you to only one book store. If you get a boox go 7 or a bigme b751/b7. They are just like android tablets, you can do just about anything on them as you can a tablet, but slower with a e ink screen. You can surf the web, watch YouTube. They are meant for reading so they are not the best at other stuff
