Amazingly... odd

My blink doorbell and cameras send me "videos" like this sometimes. Just a few still frames that are spaced out over a long time, sometimes hours. Blink is exceptionally buggy when it comes to the automated recording.

Seeking Nanny Cam for Elderly Parents

I had Blink. I hated it - crappy video quality, could barely hear the audio, and it kept disconnecting from wifi. And only one person can view a camera at a time. I know you said you didn't really want a subscription, but I found the Ring stuff is worth it. I had a Ring doorbell and I took advantage

Looking for new cameras

If Ring and Blink are both already missing motion for you, I’d probably stop trying to make that combo work and just move on. Your real checklist sounds like: wired power existing chime support no subscription if possible faster/more reliable motion capture one app that doesn’t suck That’s honestly

“Hi, you are being recorded” shut up. SHUT UP!

I have three opposite issue with my Blink cameras. They don't make any noise to alert me when someone is ringing the doorbell camera so I never know when someone is there.

Doorbell camera suggestion

Honestly, if Blink already froze on you during the exact kind of moment you bought it for, I’d stop trying to make Blink work and just move on. From what you wrote, your real priorities seem to be: battery powered Wi-Fi only rental-friendly no monthly subscription if possible app opens fast enough t

Hot take: the “best video doorbell” isn’t what most people recommend — thoughts?

The whole category feels overengineered for what it’s trying to solve, and people keep bending their expectations to justify keeping these things installed. Used a Blink doorbell for a while and it highlighted something weird: the more features it had, the less I trusted it. Not because it broke, bu

outdoor 4

Mine does this too. The doorbell shows video but not the Outdoor 4. But if I go to the blink app afterwards it’s recorded the live view that wasn’t shown on the Alexa app.

Bought Blink Outdoor 4 with Sync Module Core — is switching to Sync Module 2 worth it to avoid subscription?

I've been using Sync Module XR for a year, connected to 5 Outdoor 4 cameras and a doorbell, not using the extended range as there's no need for me and it'll also degrade video quality. All I can say is, when they work, they work, if you intend to go with the Sync Module and not the subscription, lik

Anyone here happy with their setup?

Very happy. I haven't had any of the issues people are often citing here. Homebase works as expected and cameras don't disconnect. I live in a townhome, so there are at least 20 wifi networks that are picked up. The app occasionally needs to retry the connection when I have my phone on watching a ca

Doorbells no longer chiming on mobile device.

Me and my wife are having the same problem. Tried about everything, but it won't ring on our smartphones. I guess it's time for a new (not Blink) video doorbell.
