Me, watching all the beautiful e-readers here and wanting to buy more, when I already have one
I started with a nook, second hand, that crapped out after a year or so. Then came the kindle. I hated being locked into the Amazon ecosystem so I got a boox Palma 2. I loved it, but was scared to lose or damage it so it stays home. So I get an xteink x4 for taking on the town and it’s great! Finall

Cab anyone reccomend a hand sized eink reader, with buttons?
Xteink x4 — IF you have DRM-free book files and don’t need a front light. No touchscreen or other apps. Has buttons. Very tiny but yet very readable as long as you can handle like around maybe 20 point font and below. Boox Palma 2– can run apps like kobo and kindle, as well as take DRM-free files. T

What would a solarpunk smartphone with today's tech be like?
This is more of an aesthetics & functionality answer than a best-business-practices one (though I would also like to see more companies with Fairphone-esc business practices of course), but I've been really fixated on this same question lately and this is the answer I've been gravitating toward: Har

my one page review of writing on the Go 10.3 Gen II
Well, I wish they implemented this on Palma 2 Pro. It might become a very good opponent to the RMPPM with this. Honestly, I didn't even consider buying it, but after each reviews I see, I keen to buy it. If I had seen this device earlier this year, I may not have even bought the Kindle Scribe 2025 (

Small e-reader, which one?
Boox Palma 2. It’s perfect. The viwoods has no warm light. The Boox Palma 2 pro is color which imo sucks on an Ereader (the screen is very dark grey vs a b&w device) X4 (xteink) is a good choice too but no frontlight at all and you need to have the actual book files to transfer to device (doesn’t ru

Boox Palma 3 Wish List?
My wish list would be the same as the current palma 2 pro but with the size of RPPM, B&W and better use of the inksense (like the new go10.3). The current palmas feel more like a phone that happen to support stylus. My dream device would be a proper “pocket notebook” like RMMP but with android.

Making do
The Palma 2 Pro feels more polished and reading-oriented with a color screen and stylus support, while the HiBreak Pro line is more versatile as a phone plus reader hybrid. If reading and annotations are your priority, Palma 2 Pro edges ahead. If you want full daily-phone capability in an E Ink devi

Looking for imaginary note-taking device
If a device is pocketable, then it is too small to read PDFs on it. The closest compromise is an 8" device like the Viwoods Mini or the Supernote Nomad. You can read/annotate PDFs and write on them, and they will fit in a coat pocket. A little cramped, though. The only truly pocketable e-ink devices

Looking for an Android-friendly, open Color e-reader
It may seem small at just-bigger-than-a-phone, but I love my palma 2 pro and it meets these criteria.
