Oracle Jet or Barista Touch Impress
The price difference between the Breville Barista Touch Impress and the Breville Oracle Jet is pretty hard to overlook. The Touch Impress usually sells for around $1,500, while the Oracle Jet tends to land in the $2,800–$3,000 range. That’s roughly a $1,300–$1,500 jump, and for most home users the u

Breville Oracle Jet
On the fence too. My Oracle Touch is having issues with the leaky boiler and O ring, tamping and dosing very erratic after having it for 7 years. Need another machine but will not get the touch again. Am looking at the Jet as well because many parts from the touch will fit the Jet but am very hesita

From Love to Letdown: My Breville Journey Ends with the Oracle Jet (and a Tamping Disaster)
I bought my Oracle Jet at the beginning of the year, after the NYTimes Wirecutter recommended it. I've been having problems ever since. Although it did an OK job with canned Illy beans, as soon as I bought better beans, everything tasted incredibly sour. Also, brewing by volume, I had to go well int

Volume or Time? Manual?-Another Oracle Jet Thread
Just for fun-take it for what it's worth-I asked ChatGPT about why the Oracle Jet favors a 1:3 recipe. I don't know how accurate the answer was, but here it is: ☕️ Why the Oracle Jet defaults near 1:3 That’s not a bug — it’s a marketing and consistency choice more than a barista one. 1️⃣ Targeting drin

Oracle Jet - updates?
No idea. I had an Oracle Touch, and "downgraded" to the Oracle Jet about 2 weeks ago. I'd say that's my primary challenge right now - dialing into my beans (Old Havana Medium-Dark Roast). I'm now on Grind Setting = 10, and it's still pulling at 7 seconds.... From experience, I go any lower, and it g

Meraki, Fellow ES1, or Something Else? [BUDGET: ~$2K]
I had the Breville Oracle Jet and returned it. How do you like the Meraki vs the Barista Pro? Been on the fence on the Meraki.

Second shot always 6–8 s faster than the first—why? [Breville Barista Pro + 1Zpresso J-Ultra]
Have the Breville Oracle Jet and it’s always much faster on the second shot even after preheating the grouphead and steam wand. It’s frustrating!

Proud Mary Humble Coffee [$20]
it took me 3 attempts this morning. i have the Breville Oracle Jet and suggests 22 for the “roasted on” coffees and 28 for the grocery store coffees ”best by“ dates. I already had my grinder set at 22 for my previous “roasted on” fresh beans and worked well. However, it didn’t work at all for the Pr

My how-to on how to fix sour espresso with Touch Impress (My Workflow)
Why do you think that is? I’ve been working with the oracle jet for the last few weeks and think I’m dealing with the same issue using Counter Culture’s Fast Forward. I’ve heard the Breville’s don’t do well with lighter roasts but they never really go into why. Weird thing is I think I like a little

Talk me out of buying oracle jet
I bought the Oracle Jet and it's been nothing but trouble, dialling in is impossible, had a Breville support case for over a month and they sent a new upper burr and endless instructions but nothing works. I would not recommend the machine at all, unless you want consistently inconsistent coffee
