Looking For A Genuine Top-Tier Air Purifier For 3 Rooms Of My Apartment
Housefresh.com's reviews are useful, because they measure sound and CADR using a consistent methodology, allowing you to compare among units. They've tested the three you mention. I'd suggest making a table of CADR and noise at each fan speed from their reviews. That's what I did. Based on a quick l

One air purifier for large area with reusable filters?
So I can't make a informed recommendation without room dimensions. The only filters that will be reusable are the pre-filters. HEPA or other pleated filtration media must be disposed once clogged. Tiny particles are trapped in the filtration media, not just on it. Keep in mind purifiers aren't good

Air Purifier for Allergies and Asthma
Nothing at that cost will cover 800 square feet. For allergies you really need around 4-6 air changes an hour to be most effective. You’d need like 500-600 CFM. That’s on the level of the coway airmega proX for one singular air purifier. Just the bedroom though is much more reasonable. I have 2 cowa

IQAir Multigas Lackluster Performance on NO2
Nice! Other studies have shown formaldehyde doesn't have good adsorption onto carbon, so it's interesting that here it's nearly as effective for formaldehyde as it is for a simple alkane (n-heptane). That's probably because Oransi's carbon has been modified with potassium permanganate, which is know

Xiaomi 4 lite does quite the wobble on 11-19 sqm setting
Yes, Coway has had odor issues with its filters, and still does. Then again, most brands have, including Winix:https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hht4r6/do_all_purifiers_or_their_hepa_filters_have/ https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hhtma2/horrid_smell_and_bad_filtering_from_new_winix/ B

Purifier/scrubber for new-construction home? Reccs sought
Just so you know, Jaspr would be very poor for gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. It doesn't have much activated carbon by weight at all. To boot, it's wildly overpriced for particulates at $1,199 or $999. Their marketing has been highly dishonest (fair warning: the exchange is super long). Jaspr's top Smoke

Best air purifier for cat allergens in a 1000 sq ft basement? Dyson vs Coway or something better?
Most combination units (e.g., purification + heating) perform one or more functions badly. Avoid Dyson. It's all marketing; they offer lousy particulates cleaning for the price. If you need to tackle particulates like dander and gases/vapors/odors, you need two types of air purifier. This is because

Coway or Winix or Other? (WA, USA)
If you want to remove particulates and gases/vapors/odors/VOCs, you really two two types of air purifier. This is because most common purifier brands have little activated carbon or other sorbent media by weight. This includes Coway and Winix. These units are designed for particulates capture. Heavy

Purifier to help with allergies
If you want the absolute best for the bedroom at night, you want the maximum airflow (so the air is filtered multiple times per hour) with the minimum noise, and for that you need a big air purifier running at its lowest speed. I'm currently testing air purifiers, and I've found the Coway Airmega Pr

I've never owned an air purifier and I need help, Please!
Great, thank you. 😺 For wildfire smoke particles, AHAM recommends Smoke CADR should equal a room's area (assumes an 8 ft. ceiling). The 3,400 cu. ft. space needs a minimum Smoke CADR of 425 CFM. The 900 cu. ft. bedroom needs a minimum Smoke CADR of 113 CFM. The only single unit that could fulfill th
