Newbie Here ... friend selling his son's CR-10 for less than $100 .. worth it or should I skip to a newer printer?
I don't think anyone can answer this one for you. You need to ask yourself why you want to start printing. There are pros and cons to consider. Putting a CR-10 against any of these is like Putting a 1995 Honda Civic against a 2025 Tesla. I learned printing on ender 3s and cr10s.. Compared to the new

U1 manual bed leveling. Again
Ideally you want the variance under your usually layer height across the bed. My usually layer height is 0.2mm on 0.4mm nozzle. From your post I gather you already tried adjusting the knobs under your bed. That is a great place to start. But ultimately the aim with adjusting the knobs is to get the

Reliable first 3D printer - Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 or Creality K2 Combo?
IMO Creality's reputation is overblown and outdated. I've been pretty happy with all the K - series printers I've used. (K1, K1 Max, K2 Plus). I'd probably recommend Bambu or Qidi first for most people, but OP has ruled those out for other reasons. For OP, I think the CC2 is probably a better choice

Starter printer
I currently own 3 Creality machines and honestly I’ve had a very good experience overall. My Ender 3 V3 KE has been running without a single real issue since day one, and my Spark i7 has also been extremely reliable so far — basically unboxed it and just started printing. The only machine that gave

New K2 or not?
The k2 is a solid machine unfortunately the firmware hasn't been made public yet, if you're coming from the ender have a look at the k1 I have both and as great as the k2 is having the simplicity of the creality helper script on the k1 just makes setup and using orca so much easier.

I hate my A1.
I’ve had a few issues that were solved with maintenance and setting adjustments, but my AMS Lite is starting to struggle. The motors do seem to be getting weaker. I recently bought a Creality K2 Combo to take up the slack and that is one hell of a machine.

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling
so honestly check out the aurora tech channel on youtube. she just gives honest reviews of printers, and posts prices on her website. if you are looking for high end, it might be tough to compete with h2d, h2s, but entry mid there are some great options like the qidi series, creality k2 plus is supe

Creality Hi combo vs Sparx i7 vs Bambu lab a1 combo
That all makes sense. It’s odd what can impact prices of goods around the world. If you’re looking into robotics and electronics, you may want to use more exotic materials at some point. I would seriously consider an enclosed machine depending on what can be sourced locally for a reasonable price. T

My K1C has been serving well so I gave her a CFS-C
I've been eyeing the CFS-C for a while now, and haven't heard a ton of feedback. I have a hi, a K2, and a k2 plus, and finding i want to do more multi material prints, so thinking of upgrading one of my K1s. Unfortunately, I feel like color changed are slow on anything without more then one toolhead

Developer re-enables 3D printer features that Bambu Lab disabled, firm promptly threatens legal action — OrcaSlicer-BambuLab project now shuttered
Yeah, something like the Qidi max4 has a larger build volume and basically all the same features. The Creality K2 plus is also pretty decent although many people swear off the brand.
