Honestly, I'd steer clear of the creality K series. They're very cobbled together, and the K2 is essentially just a K1.5 (or, a revision of K1). If you can, I'd aim for a Bambu A1. They're much more proven, whereas the K2 is pretty new.

You can get a Bambu A1 combo for $400, but it will only print in 4 colors. Not sure if you can daisy chain a second AMS to an A1 to get to 8 colors. Also, since it's a bed slinger and not enclosed, you're not going to be able to print with some more exotic materials and you may run into more print q
