You could pair those M60's with an edifier sub, the audio goes into the sub, that hands off the mid and treble to the M60's, and the sub does the lows.

I can vouch for the Edifier M60 as desktop speakers. Surprising amount of bass despite their small size. They are neatly designed and super easy to use. (Looking forward to reviews of the upcoming Edifier M90 speakers for a TV setup.)
