3D printer recommendations?

Elegoo Mars 5 4K 3D printer for Resin printing. Bambu Lab has some great FDM printers but I think resin is the way to go for the scale / detail.

First print and now I understand

Yeah resin is great if you're down for messing with the goop, I have an OG Elegoo Mars and it still does great work, I can only imagine the newer ones. For me printing is just like, what do you mean I can just get any model of my whims in a few hours or like less then a day? I have an FDM as well an

My favorite reviews <3 I love my customers!

Thanks! I’m using a Elegoo Saturn 4 ultra. That model using a different type of FEP film that helps to blend out layer lines. I also set the layer height really low. My print times are outrageous for the size but I have two Saturns so that makes up for it. If you’re completely new to 3D printing, I

3D Printer Shopping

If you need high detail look at resin printers elegoo mars are cheap to get into. Not super durable, but they are high detail. If you are looking for filament, get a Bambu. All of them are good and require very little messing with. A P1S isn’t a bad place to start. You can add multi color later if y

Finished my 3d printed Coloniser

I have an elegoo mars 2 pro. I've had it a while now buts it's been fantastic really. I spent £200 on it and I think another £100 or so on the matching wash and cure station. If you use the low odour resin you shouldn't need much ventilation as most newer printers come with built in ventilation

how reputable are elegoo printers?

I have 2 elegoo printers (Mars 4 Max and Saturn 4U 16k), and can’t complain with any, they are 2 workbeasts. It’s much a matter of luck and proper maintenance.

My recently made Miyabi figure

I have an Elegoo Mars 4 max 6k. I love this printer, beucase the biggest one I made with 40 parts, took only 6 or so plates, and this one did take only 3-4 maybe. It is pretty much as it came out, I kustsanded and filled the support marks where it needed, but those are mostly on undersides and on th

Coming back after years.

Imho - you should upgrade. New printers have a much better screen resolution and printing speeds. My general recommendation for small printers = Mars 4 ultra. For midsize - Saturn 3 \ Saturn 3 ultra. Slicers - depends. Will you buy subscription ? Or use free version ? $$$ slicer - lychee plus. Free
