What’s the go-to printer?
I'm a fan of the tilting vat printers since they apply less peeling force to the film and they're generally faster. (Prusa, Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra, Saturn 4 Ultra.) They're more forgiving on supports, which are a huge learning curve coming from FDM to resin. The Saturn has two variants, 12k and 16k. Th

Entry level 3D Printing
Saturn 4 Ultra (commonly S4U) in 12k or 16k is going to be the easiest printer to get started and successful prints from for a new user. The Mars 5 Ultra is the smaller version with all the same features as the 12k, just different resolution and build volume. The tilt release system eliminates 12-16

Torn between Mars 5 Ultra and Saturn 4 Ultra 16K because of heating
The elegoo mini heaters work just fine, it's 5c where I am right now and I've just processed a print without issue (on my jupiter SE, but I also have an M5U with the same heater) Another thing to consider though is build plate size, M5U is pretty tiny so you'll be limited with how much you can print

Best choice for tiny figures?
Mars 5 Ultra. All Elegoo tilting vat printers (latest Ultras) vastly simplify the learning curve for exposure settings because a lot of esoteric settings (like lift speeds) just no longer apply. They have a reduced peeling force compared to traditional resin printers, which somewhat reduces the need

Anything i should know before buying the Mars 5 Ultra?
Make sure to get protection on it because 3 months in my M5U just decided my prints shouldn’t look good anymore and elegoo support has been horrible. I’m sure my experience with it isn’t the status quo, but better safe than sorry. When it’s working it prints like a dream! Oh also make sure you have

How to get off build plate in one piece
Have you tried using Elegoo Satellite? It's the recommended software for the M5U anyway. The auto supports it generates are very good and the rafts are a solid piece with relief holes. Very easy to remove from the build plate in one piece, in fact I've never not been able to. I'm also using an M5U.

Mars 5 Ultra vs HeyGears
I've owned both an Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra and a HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex. I had a great experience with the M5U, but it doesn't compare to what it's like to use the Reflex with the Blueprint software. If you want a simple, Bambu-like workflow experience, get a HeyGears, no question. You can use 3rd p

What is the Best/Recommended Washing & Curing Method for Water-Washable Resin?
Just started too, have a M5U and use Elegoos 8k water wash. It is brittle, but honestly not bad for minitures or scale modeling. I use a brush and do spend some time cleaning all resin off, but I'd rather do that than have a gallon of IPA sitting on my desk. I like it so far, and I've just printed w

Need help picking printer?
I don't chase latest and greatest. It is my first, and only, resin printer to date. The things I print are all fairly small, so it has met all my needs. The antialiasing works great for my parts. I have no idea how long it will last. My plan is to be careful not to damage it; nobody uses it but me.

Options for a larger printer
Okay, that looks to be a sample defect on the flatness of the build plate. Spare build plates can be purchased from Elegoo directly. Not all S4U owners have the experience of that reviewer. If I bought an S4U (and I'm seriously considering adding one to augment my M5U) and I got an unflat build plat
