Tips for 3D printing circular sock machine
I made the YouTube video that he linked on how to use it. I’m pretty good at picking up new engineering projects, but I’ll say this was a nice challenge. If I could do it again, I’d make it in high quality PLA and skip the ribbing attachment. (I still can’t get it working.. but I’ve used a ribber ju

Starter printer?
I got the Elegoo Neptune 3, and its worked well as my first printer. I use it with the Ultimaker Cura slicer software, and blender to play with the 3d models.

I'm kinda stumped for an enclosure.
Alot of libraries now have really good 3d printers. They let you use them at a very cheap rate. Could be an option. Aside from that i use wood. Wrap the wood in vinyl for a finished look. I have a older elegoo neptune 3. I use it for so much stuff. You can get a used one sub 100. I love mine for pro

Obscura Nox / Ho Hanson on Centauri Carbon
Partial answer - I have the Anycubic Kobra S1 and use the Anycubic slicer - which is based on Orca also. I just downloaded Obscura's image album of settings and then went through mine to manually create my own profiles. I've been super pleased with it. You should be just fine to use the Elegoo Slice

Buying a Neptune 4 today
I have a Neptune 3 pro, 4 and 4 max. My 2 cents are, that if you're not technically inclined. Look for another printer. The elegoos require constant tuning and calibrating. When it works it's chefs kiss but when it doesnt, you'll waste and entire day troubleshooting and recalibrating.

Printer speed to slow?
Depends on what you’re printing. In my experience, if it’s anything more than simple geometry and bigger than a baseball, it’s probably gonna take hours. Ultimately it all comes down to slicer settings. Maybe try a different slicer? I use the one from elegoos website ( Cura ) and I don’t update it,

How can I make this better? Tips please 🙏
Most of the advice here is sound, though may seem a little brief. It does look like you have Z-offset issues on this print, but also that the printbed is not level. Each foot of the tower has a different z-offset, with one being close to correct and the foot opposite being the most away from true.htt

Has anyone have issues with Bambu Matte PLA
This is what kept happening to any of my matte filament. But now I’m wondering if my nozzle was just really built up cause yeah that needle was stuck good before it snapped off inside. 😩 I swear I’m not even new to printing lmao. This is my 3 machine over the last 5 years. I went from an Elegoo Nept
