New to Resin - which saturn?
Generally speaking the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k is the best option for most people. I investigated and wrote the original post explaining the 3-bit grayscale deficiency and it is still present. I also bought a S4U 16k and subsequently worked out a dithering method with UVTools to restore a significant por

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
Yeah Anycubic long term support is ass. I own an M3 Premium and they ended support for them almost 2 years ago, yet I can still order parts (other than LCDs) for my Saturn 2s from Elegoo... which are the same age as the M3 Premium. Heygears is supposed to open up some of their settings later this ye

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
Elegoo Mars 3 Pro, Saturn 3 and Saturn 4 Ultra owner, been running them for the past 4 years +. (Starting slowly with the Mars and building up to the later ones. ) I use Chitubox Pro for slicing. Only had an issue once with a power switch pcb which Elegoo was happy to provide after verifying it was

He Who Holds The 3D Printer Holds The Loyalty| Castle Super Beast 314 Clip
Probably should put a caveat there. Compared to filament printing, particularly for detail you can get out of the box. I have the elegoo saturn 3 ultra and ca highly recommend them. Elegoo sells returns and refurbished units on eBay for a discount as well. Out the door with all gear and material id

Most reliable printer
TL;DR: It’s not the brand, they all suck, although Elegoo has remained popular for a reason. I’m up to having owned 7 resin printers. 4 of those are Elegoo, and I’ve owned a Phrozen and currently own an Anycubic (along with 2 Saturns). I’m quite critical of the resin printer market, but Elegoo has a

Need help buying a printer
All the problems you hear about a specific printer online are warranted but people who don't have problems don't come to the Internet to complain also, searching for problems with a piece of tech or anything for that matter everybody should do, so you are equipped with the knowledge of knowing that

Suggestions for next printer?
If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available to you, it's the best bang for your buck and last of the non auto-leveling printers worth buying. Usually less than $270. Heygears is running a sale on the Reflex RS for $499, which is the lowest that printer has ever been. It's probably the only auto-levelin

I'm looking for a new 3D printer
Elegoo Saturn 4 is the best starter machine out there right now, if you want to keep it as cheap as possible you might be able to find a Saturn 3 ultra somewhere, they are also great starter machines with solid quality.

First 3D Printer for 1:24 Miniatures – Is the Phrozen Mini 8K S the Right Choice?
Saturn 3 non-Ultra. 19x24um pixel, close to the 22um pixel of a Mini 8K S. Much better UV uniformity, full PWM UV control (Mini 8K S doesn't have that). Moddable gcode. Full wait time support (Mini 8K S doesn't respect wait time after print). Adjustable Z axis offset (or use my leveling method to el

I am wondering whether FDM printing can give me a similar result
No FDM printer can produce miniatures as good as a modern 8 to 12k SLA printer! If you buy a really expensive high quality FDM printer like bamboo or Prusha and you use a .2 nozzle and a 0.2 to 0.3 layer height you can get close SLA but under magnification you will CLEARLY see a difference..
