Resin printing "arms race" over?
Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - Water Washable
I'll just assume it bots or something, but for whatever reason, this thread is just filled with wrong answers. Well, technically the Wait time before print suggestion is correct, but is still useless because it fails to provide any guidelines for settings or why it works. Rest / Wait time is why you

Best resin printer for a first time buyer
You have to consider the cost of materials, parts, and peripherals in your budget. You’ll want a way to wash and cure, whether that be the elegoo dedicated wash and cure stations, or your own makeshift solution. You’ll want to factor in FEP/PFA film. You’re going to eventually have to replace the LC

Chitubox 3.0 is a scam
I used to be a loyal Elegoo customer, but know that I will never buy from you again. I’m switching to Lychee right away. This has nothing to do with Elegoo... in fact Elegoo has been pissed at Chitu Systems for a long time now as well. Enough so that they developed the .goo file extension... and rel

Dead Spot on Screen
That will be a screen replacement. And, yeah it's getting too common with the S4U just past the 1 year mark. Here's my theory on the source of the problem - bad software configuration of the automatic leveling system and lack of a baked in Rest After Retract along with a couple methods to prevent th

Been having some issues on a print with my saturn 4 ultra
Just going to copy-paste my comment from a couple weeks ago on the matter of S4U dead LCDs: For you next LCD, definitely look into use Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools name) via UVTools for the first 20 layers or so like the following settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/

Screen's end of life ?
Those black dots ? Yep, screen is dead. You bought it in 2023 ? Either you don't print often, or you're very lucky. Prints don't hold for long across multiple prints. It's perfectly normal, ask yourself : why your printer has a 1 year warranty, except the screen which has a 6 months warranty ? And a

Lychee Pro subscription
My main complaint with Lychee currently is that it completely shits the bed and crashes when I try to enable anti-aliasing when slicing for my saturn 4 ultra 16k. I'm led to believe it's because they haven't added .ctb support for my printer yet and .goo is a half baked format. Other complaint I hav

Upgrading from Mars 2 to maybe a Saturn 3 ultra. Advice?
Because the non Ultra has better UV uniformity (light). The Ultra can also have bad castings in the build plate head and z arm that can prevent you from leveling it. The non Ultra comes with nFEP/PFA release film, while the Ultra comes with ACF. ACF causes fine vertical lines to appear on smooth sur

This breaks my Heart
I had the same experience. Had the CC for 9 months total. It worked for 3 months. Then 6 months of talking back and forth with elegoo… took it apart 7 times. Several different parts, bad instructions, frustrating experience. I just got the replacement yesterday. Haven’t even opened it, I just decide
