Best grinder (no budget)

OP, based on what you’ve said here, I’m not sure you’re ready for the price of the grinders that are going to be recommended here. Also basically all the grinders that will be recommended will be geared towards single dosing. That’s generally how we roll, we measure out our beans from storage for ea

Sign at my local roaster regarding the roast date myth

I can talk from anecdotal experience only, but I was initially concerned about getting Eureka Mignon Specialita vs df grinder for single dosing because of all the horror stories. In reality, the container in Eureka holds about 200 grams of coffee, which lasts me a week, and I can never tell the diff

Gaggia Classic E24 or Profitec Go for espresso only?

Ive been using the Profitec Go now for 2 ½ months, together with the Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder. At first I was also considering getting the Gaggia and then tuning it with Gaggiuino, but in the end I decided that I would rather not play around with the electronics. I just wanted to have a good

What's wrong with my grinder ?

I will check but I will never find a filter for it I wouldn't be so sure about it because they love using the same components across all cheap grinders. You can probably even measure your portafilter yourself to get the dimensions. I understand I will change my grinder, what do you use ? I started w

Good starter set? [$500]

I noticed Less about taste, more about consistency. I could pull great shots with my ESP grinder, but it was not consistent. I also had trouble with lighter roasts, and it got to a point where I could not go any finer. I purchased an open box eureka mignon specialita for like $650, and I’m loving it

Witch one to keep?

I went from the Eureka Mignon Specialita with single dose bellows/hopper to the niche zero. Niche is easier to dial in for espresso Niche adjustments are far superior However; Eureka can make an objectively nicer modern style shot with light beans (but is more of a pain to dial in) Eureka is quieter

That's WAY too much water, right?

I am a lightroast kid. Ain't got no problems at all. Eureka mignon specialita, light roast single origin, hopper fed. Fluffy grounds right into the pf, no wdt needed (i still do it out of habit).

Recommendations for Grinder (and perhaps espresso machine) [£1000]

A Flair58 and an eureka flat burr grinder will give you a wide range to work with and potential for awesome espresso of several types. I used a flair58+v2 stock and then added bookoo EM/scales when I got an itch, I used the eureka mignon specialita and modded it to be a zero retention single dose gr

Oracle Jet vs Bambino (+ Breville grinder) — or something else? [$1500]

Look at Eureka Libra for GBW if that seems appealing. Otherwise consider the Encore ESP / new fellow opus gen 2 / ESP Pro / Eureka Mignon Specialita Any you get, you want with bellows. ESP pro seems like a particularly solid choice.
