Seeking Advice: The Absolute Best Espresso Grinder for Longevity and Quality [No budget]

imo, for a grinder to rlly last well, burr type and grind consistency are the two things worth obsessing over. flat burrs >> conical for espresso generally, and single dosing is a game changer if you're pulling different beans regularly imo. niche zero gets recommended a lot and for good reasons ngl

Gaggia Classic E24 or Profitec Go for espresso only?

Ive been using the Profitec Go now for 2 ½ months, together with the Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder. At first I was also considering getting the Gaggia and then tuning it with Gaggiuino, but in the end I decided that I would rather not play around with the electronics. I just wanted to have a good

Is it time to throw in the towel? [$1000]

Five years out of a Barista Pro is about average. The 5-second shutoff is usually a failing solenoid valve or a clogged flow meter, and Breville repair costs often hit $150-250 which is hard to justify on a machine that may have other components aging out. At $1000, you're in a really good spot for

What's the best budget grinder for dark roasts?

I used to own both a Eureka Mignon Specialita and a Niche Zero. Any Eureka Mignon grinder with the OG 55mm espresso burrs will taste similar to a Niche Zero.

That's WAY too much water, right?

I am a lightroast kid. Ain't got no problems at all. Eureka mignon specialita, light roast single origin, hopper fed. Fluffy grounds right into the pf, no wdt needed (i still do it out of habit).

Oracle Jet vs Bambino (+ Breville grinder) — or something else? [$1500]

Look at Eureka Libra for GBW if that seems appealing. Otherwise consider the Encore ESP / new fellow opus gen 2 / ESP Pro / Eureka Mignon Specialita Any you get, you want with bellows. ESP pro seems like a particularly solid choice.

My espresso is too sour and bitter at the same time [Breville Barista Express]

I've got a BBE as well, and had the same issues. The grinder on the BBE isn't the best; I found the steps quite big. The grinder at your local coffee shop is much better, so you'll get better coffee out of it. Use manual mode; hold the shot button to keep it in the pre-infusion mode for longer. I us

Eureka Mignon Specialita or something else? Looking for first "real" espresso grinder [$700]

I have the Specialita, and can only say good things about it. My workflow is also super simple, the Specialita has some anti-clumping technology, so I don't even use the WDT tool. Would a Eureka Libra be in your budget, that would be a step up from the Specialita as it is a Grind-by-weight grinder.

Sage Barista Pro (built-in Baratza grinder) – worth upgrading to a separate grinder?

Owning a Sage Barista Touch and a separate grinder i can under special circumstances recommend switching to a separate grinder- there are improvements in the grind-quality (due to finer settings) and taste. I switchted to a Eureka Mignon Specialita, but with the idea in mind to upgrade someday to a
