This deal was nuts!
The only thing I wish it had was a contained filament system, like my AnyCubic Kobra S1 where it can dry the filament and store all 4 spools. That was a real steal, I got the S1 Combo for about $450 at the time. It’s been a great machine, I have about 800 hours on it so far. My ATF is still my Flash

Best model for a 12yr old on Christmas
My 10 yr old bought himself the AD5M for his bday last week and he's been printing for a week straight with minimal supervision. No regrets with choosing FlashForge.

Questions from a noob
No, flash print is slicing software, which is what formats the models for the printer. If you want to do designs there are some free options. Tinkercad is a good place to do some simple and free cad. Also I would recommend Orca or Orca-forge as a slicer instead of flash print. Better options and it

Guide: How to fix the X/Y "clicking" noise that sometimes plagues these machines
There isn't a point in the video I linked where they specifically show the pulleys themselves. It just shows how to disassemble the outer portion of the machine enough so that you can see the pulley shafts easily to lubricate them. Here is a post by u/PremiumMekanik that shows where to look and circ

Got my second a5m
I have an ad5m, ad5x and just bought the h2s lol. I print things for people on fb market place, so the ad5m paid for itself and the X plus a ton of filament. Those two paid for my H2S. I don’t think I’ll get any more but I’ll prob still use the flash forge machines to fund the rest of my hobby 😂. I

How Many Hrs Have You Put On Your 3D Printer?
It's definitely 220x220x220mm build volume I have one with around 700 hours on it and they are great until they start having issues. Support sucks imo and I've had to replace my nozzle/hot end, extruder cable, and extruder board all within 3 months of owning it. I believe either the cable or board h

Question for Those of You with Multiple Printers
I upgraded from an ender 3 to a flash forge ad5m. I got the ender for $100 and selling it would be a hassle. It has come in handy when I'm doing projects that need multiple beds of parts. I can print 4 plates a day (two at bed time and two when going to work) and have everything ready for assembly w

Mildly disappointed
"It does what I ask perfectly every time!" I know. It really is a lovely machine. It complements my AD5Ms perfectly. If it weren't for those couple gripes with the PTFE and some really, really minor annoyances I would give it a perfect score in all categories. Still going to recommend it to anyone t

What I want does not exist. Prove me wrong!
I don’t see anyone mention FlashForge. But I’ve been very happy with mine. I have a couple of Ad5m pros that are work horses and a Ad5x that I printed an enclosure for. They’re mostly feature rich aside from an app, but they’re open source so you can install different firmware and get all the contro

AD5X and adventurer 5m update
I bought my AD5M, just over a year ago, for christmas. I never once used anything Flash Forge SOFTWARE branded. Not my intention but based on my research, seemed like going the fully open source route made the most sense. I started with raw open source OrcaSlicer, installed (at the time) beta driver
