Anyone still holding out on orca for now
I switched to Orca Slicer 2.3.2 and rolled back my AD5M Pro to an older firmware. Things are going mostly well since I did that. Not really planning to upgrade to the latest of anything from FlashForge for a while.

At my wits end with AD5M
I print PETG on my AD5M without much issue now... but when I first tried i had similar issues. One major issue, which i didn't read in your original post post was the filament quality. For starters not all filament is equal.... but even more so, petg is far less forgiving than pla or pla+. That bein

How do you print PETG
I’ve had great results with PETG on my ad5m. Used it when printing the enclosure and now it’s my primary filament choice for the extra durability it provides over PLA. I used FlashForge’s branded filament for the enclosure with the default settings and it printed great. I now typically use SUNLU bra

Questions from a noob
No, flash print is slicing software, which is what formats the models for the printer. If you want to do designs there are some free options. Tinkercad is a good place to do some simple and free cad. Also I would recommend Orca or Orca-forge as a slicer instead of flash print. Better options and it

FLEXIBLE PLA
My son just got a spool of FlashForge flexible PLA yesterday. He loaded it on his AD5M, printed an airless ping pong ball in about 45 minutes with the stock PLA settings in Orca Slice. I was figuring he was going to be fighting it for days. Pleasantly surprised with the performance.

How Many Hrs Have You Put On Your 3D Printer?
It's definitely 220x220x220mm build volume I have one with around 700 hours on it and they are great until they start having issues. Support sucks imo and I've had to replace my nozzle/hot end, extruder cable, and extruder board all within 3 months of owning it. I believe either the cable or board h

FlashForge Rep says Orca Slicer is "like a third-party software.
ZMOD is the only one I know of for the AD5X... For the AD5M there is Forge-X? Personally I'm running ZMOD on my AD5X - can't recommend it enough! Flashing that is the very first thing that everyone should do - kinda like using Edge to download Firefox! lol.

I don’t want to ruin Christmas morning.
My AD5M worked essentially out of the box. It printed its little cube, and I did the bed leveling on the first print with Orca-Flashforge, and all was well. Hopefully yours will work as flawlessly. The only thing I would do is figure out the firmware version. I understand the latest firmware sucks,

Really want to like the AD5X, cute machine but the software is awful!
2 weeks ago I bought my very first 3d printer: FlashForge AD5M and I am in love! Only problem I had so far was to register on ORCA. They did not like my German email address, but they did not say it (no error message). After 2 days of non stop attempts of register and landing in noresponse land I ha

Why am i getting a server connection exception on orca flashforge app?
I was frustrated all last night with this issue but figured it out this morning. I had searched google for ad5m software, clicked a search result, found orca slicer and download/installed it. I couldn't sign in or find my printer on the network. This morning I went to flash forges website, logged in
