Is this marketplace find a good deal? [$500 budget]

Seems like a decent deal but like another poster mentioned, the gaggia classic Evo pro had boiler coating that flaked off. Google boilergate and try to find the affected models so you can make sure this isn't one of them

RIP Old Friend [$1200]

Looks like a beautiful machine, however it's well outside my price range... $2300 here in Canada. I was thinking more along the lines of the Gaggia Classic Pro E24 or the Lelit Anna 2 PID.

help with understanding note! [$300]

Until recently all Gaggia Classics had uncoated aluminum boilers. Two years ago, Gaggia Released the Classic Pro Evo. In this model, they started coating the inside of the boiler, supposedly to make it more resistant to limescale. Unfortunately, the coating flakes off, making the Evo a bad choice of

[DIY] The Profitec GO steam wand on a Gaggia Classic (Rancilio alternative for 1/2 the price) SOLVED

That is why I came to an idea to see what's possible. I'm not a frothing guy but let's say I wanted to make an ultimate Gaggia classic. 250 cad is crazy money for just a wand. Makes no sense. Good luck with your build and let us know how it goes 🤙

hate to beat a dead horse, but this isn't scale, right?

Pro Evo from 2023? That's your problem. Look up "Boilergate". The boilers from this particular year and model are coated in a non-stick coating that was intended to reduce scale build up. Instead, it ended up flaking off and flowing through the water paths of the machine. The good news is that boile

Finally finished Gaggiuino mod

I've seen this exact thingie mentioned in the gaggiuino's alternate component list, here is the link: https://www.printables.com/model/647745-gaggia-classic-pro-evo-neon-lamp-clip. Sadly it's just a 3D print, maybe those others links are better, but damn 8e for that ?

New to the club, should I upgrade? [500]

Asking for advice here will get you wild answers that waste your money, honestly. Everyone will tell you that you need some super expensive grinder (you don't, it just has to be able to grind fine enough); if you have that? They will find some other way to spend your money on things that aren't wort

E24 Pro?

There is one e24, which is simply a Gaggia Classic pro with a brass boiler. Skip the evo. It’s fine, but you’ll have to replace the boiler with the brass one which is $160. Then you’ll basically have an e24. You might as well get the e24, or the 2019 Gaggia Classic if it’s cheaper. For the evo, they

Bambino Plus or Dedica Maestro Plus? Budget [$550]

Thanks for the reply! Yes it's also true that these machines have pretty inconsistent auto mode frothing and manual is always a clear improvement so I may not need that. I have not looked at boiler based machines I have absolutely no idea which are the popular ones, how their thermal stabilities and
