I spent months chasing sour and bitter shots and it turned out to be headspace —> Dose by volume!! [Lelit Elizabeth/Timemore 078s]

There is a related question that I don't understand. The most common beginner setup is a Gaggia Classic Pro, and most beginner guides on internet call for a 18g dose. People getting into espresso literally all get the same advice: a) buy a GCP, b) dose 18g. But the stock unpressurized double-shot ba

Tried to build the ultimate mid-budget setup... What would you change?

I’ve had a sette 270 for years. After upgrading my Gaggia classic pro to a dual boiler, the shot quality is night and day. So assuming you get a good grind, the machine makes a massive difference, way more than people on here would have you believe. It actually shocked me how different the shot qual

What's the Best Espresso Machine for Home Use Widely Loved by Aficionados?

I have the Lelit Victoria PL91T at home. Chosen after long comparisons. Went from a Gaggia Classic Pro. Way better experience. Cannot recommend more. Excellent price/quality ratio for me.

First setup 😮‍💨😭

I just got my Ele last week, I cannot recommend it enough coming from a gaggia classic pro 2019. If you can stretch the budget for it you won't be disappointed.

€100 for a 2014 Gaggia Classic made in Romania -- good deal / worthwhile upgrade from Bambino Plus? [Budget €500]

Depends if it's a V.1 or V.2. IMO, the V.2 is far inferior to the Bambino Plus. The V.1 is arguably inferior as well, but has all the modding potential ( GaggiaMate/Gaggiuno) to become an extremely capable machine. The V.2 (2015) Classic was made in Romania from late 2014 through 2018 for the 220v m

Bambino Plus or Dedica Maestro Plus? Budget [$550]

Compared to the thermoblock/thermocoil machines, a single-boiler trades heat-up time for better potential thermal stability and long-term durability. A bambino is better than a gaggia classic pro out of the box, but a single-boiler with a PID will probably have better thermal stability, control, and

Upgrading from Breville Barista Express

Tbh if you are going from the barista express to a gaggia without modding you may feel it's a downgrade. You have 3 buttons. 1 turns it on, 1 pumps water and 1 turns the steam on. Thats it. Everything is manual with no shot timer. That being said it will out last most options as its a simple machine

Grinder upgraded. Have the itch to upgrade the SBP, what would you go to without dropping £1000+ that would see a significant difference?

Robot Cafelat + Dualit CIno (Costco often have the Cino available for around £170) so that would be about £500 all in. I have this combo (Robot, Cino and Niche Zero) and it is far, far better and more repeatable than my Gaggia Classc Pro that I since gave up. Getting an additional basket makes back

Espressso Pulls Too Fast

I’m late to this conversation, but I’m dealing with the same issue. I have the Zuley grinder and it worked great for about a year. I haven’t changed beans. What was strange is that I first started having slowing issues, I’d prep a puck and barely any liquid would come out. I did a deep clean using G
