Just upgraded from AWU2 to Fenix 8. Officially joining the club!
I have the same situation - the switch from Apple to Garmin. Been using Epix Pro Gen 2 51mm for a few weeks with AWU2 switching and testing. I have already sold Epix - now it’s time for AWU2 to buy the Fenix 8 47mm with exact model. The 51mm were heavy and the software was little bit sluggish. The A

New Suunto?
Suunto has very limited smartwatch features, especially on iOS. You'll be disappointed. Basically you'll get notifications on your watch and that is about it. The app ecosystem is very rudimentary and focuses on activity tracking. Garmin is a bit better smartwatch, if we look at smartwatch features,

HRV Tanked after 21.25 update
Same issue for me too that it made me worry about my general health , went to get checked up and everything is fine , sleep , skin temp , respiration , resting heart all solid this silly update made me force myself to even take 10 days off running to think my body needed to absorb the training etc b

Which watch?
Just a heads up. Research on the update policy of Garmin if it’s ok with you. For example the flagships Fenix 7 Pro/Epix Gen 2 Pro that Garmin abandoned after 1.5 years. Then the flagship Forerunner 965 that did not received trickled down features from FR970 etc. It can lead to buyer’s remorse.

Feedback on a Fenix E
Im on the same boat. Fenix 8 (800) is double the cost of a fenix e(390). And the Epix pro gen 2 is 499! Im on FR 255 too. Could it happen that the Epix pro gen 2 will never get the "newer" features as it wont be getting the new UI? That said, im looking for a FR255 replacement with AMOLED and Maps.

Pebble Time 2 Touchscreen
Not sure what Garmin you had, but my Epix Gen 2, Fenix 8, and Forerunner 970 all have the ability to completely turn off the touchscreen. But they're all the 5-button models, so you can exclusively use the buttons to navigate the watch. IIRC, the watches with less than 5 buttons don't have the optio

Is buying a Garmin GPSMAP actually worth it?
I had an epix 2 and loved it for hikes but... the first one had a faulty screen, then the replacement died the instant I went into water. The refund process was so awful that I just gave up and haven't had one since. Non of this should put you off though, this was all to do with buying off amazon. W

Moving away from Garmin with a balance 2
I recently ditched my Epix 2 for the balance 2. Very happy with the change. No regrets at all. Garmin is nice, has some fun metrics but they can confuse you more than actually helps, besides, their app kinda sucks in my opinion. Zepp app is way more intuitive and easy to set things. Balance 2 has ev
