Orange solar ring

Hi all,

Instinct 3 45mm solar owner for a while and I have got a question, maybe you guys could help me out.

First off all, I’m very pleased with the watch model and his features!

What I started to dislike after a while, is the orange solar ring related to the total look of the watch. I prefer a

Fed Up with Instinct 2 GPS - Should I Upgrade to Instinct 3 Tactical?

You can contact garmin it wouldnt hurt. Perhaps they will give you a small discount on a i3 upgrade? Worth a shot. I had the i3 tactical for a very short amount of time and gps was great. Locked quick and it had all the accuracy that I needed. I didnt do any dc rainmaker comparison, but for me I had

Mapping & Touchscreen

I actually am a fan of the lack of a touchscreen. Outside of entering the PIN to use Garmin Pay, I much prefer using buttons. I do miss maps though, especially on my I3 AMOLED. I would probably want a touchscreen if maps were available....a good compromise would be having the new Google Maps app ava

What is up with everyone wanting AMOLED and touchscreen? Go get a forerunner or Fenix or venu or RESEARCH THE OTHER WATCHES!

What you wrote, but I also don't understand people who are upset that Instinct 3 has no maps. This watch will never have maps. People basically ask for a Fenix 8 watch in an Instinct body for the Instinct prices. For me this watch must be basically a GPS enabled G-shock from Garmin. I like the monoc

What Garmin Watch for Surfr App

Instinct 3 solar, it has an amazing battery life between charges. Runs Surfr activity well. No touchscreen, just 5 buttons, which makes it very usable with wet hands and wetsuit gloves. Surfr will sometimes record and show a big jump on the watch, then when it uploads it to the app it deletes it. So

Looking for recommendations

Just my 2 cents because Casio watches in general are amazing but their new lines of 'activity' watches would just bring them a bad rep if compared to the others. Unless you turn on the HR sensor only for specific , short measurements, the battery lifen is really, really bad. A lot worse than somethi

Outdoorsy

If you are willing to go out of the Casio world get a garmin instinct for her. I has a lot more functionality ... if she will ever need it. They have Instinct E ( the smallest at 40mm but no solar charging, still 14 days of battery life) the instinct 3 solar at 45mm and the instinct 3 solar at 50mm.

Garmin Instinct 3 45mm solar update. January 28th.

I have owned the watch since January 16th. I charged the watch to 100% when I received it. The battery is now at 37%. I have the brightness set to 20%. I have used the GPS a decent amount for a total of 2 hours and 47 min of GPS workout activities. 9 activities total. I use a stock watch face. The o

First Garmin-Instinct E or Instinct 3

Instinct E might ok, although it's a bit stripped down compared to the I3. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/compare/?compareProduct=1315817&compareProduct=1315317&compareProduct=1316397 Don't expect accurate HR for gym from the optical HR sensor.Sleep tracking - stages are a guess imo, but resting HR an

Instinct 3 Solar, backlight via gestures after sunset feature has been removed (update)

The screen is a massive improvement. I glossed over that when first looking at the upgrades, but in person they fixed one of the biggest issues with the instinct 2 solar. It's night and day next to each other. I did test the auto select (satIQ) and it was awesome. With 2 hour hike only had 3-4% batt
