T-rex 3 Pro 48mm (switched from Garmin)
Nice review :) I have to agree, because I am also very surprised with my T-Rex Ultra 2. Also coming from Garmin, for last year I have been using Instinct 3 Solar 50mm. Ultra 2 has 26 mm so I put my Garmin Ultrafit nylon 26 mm strap and it is so comfy now. Otherwise I agree with points you are mentio

Talk me out of upgrading…
I own the Garmin Instinct 3 Solar (50mm) and a Tactix 8 AMOLED (47mm) and I love both watches. Been wearing my I3 solar more cause it’s more comfortable and lighter weight when I’m training, racing, or just for daily wear/sleep. If you upgrade the I3 Tactical is unnecessary unless you just want an a

Fenix/Epix v Instinct
The Fenix 7x was my first Garmin I ever got. I got it in Feb 24. Then I got the instinct 3 tactical. I have had some disposable income since and got the Enduro 3 and Fenix 8 solar 50mm as well. I had given the original 7x I owned, the Fenix 8, and the Enduro 3, to some family members to try out for

Watch nerd.. new to Garmin.
Congrats on those nice watches! I’m looking into the instinct 3 tactical. Currently wearing an Fenix 7 pro, it’s a great watch, but bit bulky. Hope the i3 can beat it in battery life and solar charging. And it should weigh less. Wearing my Garmin all day every day, only not when showering. I don’t w

Smartwatch recomendations
Sod charging every day.... I have a Garmin instinct 2x solar tactical. Goes around 40 days without a charge and has a built in proper torch which is one of the most useful things I've ever owned. Wife has the Moto watch fit which is very cheap, incredibly comfortable and works great.

Instinct 3 50mm Solar Tactical vs Instinct Crossover Amoled(Non-tactical)
I have had both the instinct 50 tactical and the crossover AMOLED. They are just totally different. The I3 is the nicest MIP I’ve ever owned on any brand. Better than Casio. Unless the room is completely dark, you can see the face without backlight. Monochrome and all that but throw back cool. And…t

Is instinct 3 useable for running?
A long time ago I had a Forerunner, then moved to Apple Watch, and just a few months ago moved to an Instinct 3 50mm Solar (From a Gen1 AWU). This guy is perfect for running, all the information I need on a run, insights in Garmin Connect later. Very surprisingly light based on its size, battery lif
