Please don't buy the GOruck bags

I've been using goruck for months now. Usually I do 30 pounds but have gone up to 45 here and there. I started with a cheap frame ruck. It was alright. I know how to adjust weight in bags to make them comfortable. My father was army for 22 years and taught me how to. But the rucker 4.0 is virtually

Goruck Rucker 4.0 20L Plates/Belt

1 you would not notice a difference carrying those plates v goruck’s 3 having the option option of transferring weight to your hips with a hip belt is very useful

Weighted walks

I use a proper rucking pack. Weighted vests are generally not for breasted people especially if they have more although GoRuck has some that look decent. I bought a GoRuck Rucker 4.0 20L and am up to 30lbs in that. I also purchased an Evergoods Mountain Loader 22L that I carry a 20lb plate in. I'm p

Picking a pack: weight on hips or between shoulder blades? Fit for long torso?

I disagree that rucks like Goruck are just a marketing gimmick. It really depends on what you intend to do rucking. If you plan to follow the fitness rucking guidelines of 30% bodyweight or less in the pack, they will work great, with or without a hip belt. The plates ride high between the shoulders

Long Distance Ruck Options

Make no mistake, I love my Rucker, it’s a pretty incredible fitness implement and I use it a ton. When it comes to long distance (let’s say 12+ miles), relatively heavy rucks (35#+), (1) the lack of a functional hip belt that effectively transfers load to the hips is my biggest issue, and for me, ar

Picking a pack: weight on hips or between shoulder blades? Fit for long torso?

Agreed. Keep the weight as close to your body as possible and high as possible. It’s possible even with a hip belt to do this and keep more of the weight focused to your hips and legs. You might also consider dropping weight to 10lbs for a few weeks and then moving slowly back up to 20lbs as your bo

Looking for general info (new to community)

I took a look at the new lumbar support and was uncertain how it would feel. However, GoRuck has an exceptional return policy. I gave the Bullet and the Plate Ruck a good several weeks each before sending them back and just spending the money on the more expensive option. I've used the Rucker 4.0 fo

How can I prevent my backpack unzipping itself?

Buy a quality ruck with a waist belt especially if you are going to be exercising with it. For rucking plus working out I use a GORUCK Rucker 4.0. The belt is sold separately so is a plate that fits the holder. You can get a plate on Amazon for a lot cheaper but make sure it’s compatible.

Marginal weight increase problems

Have you also considered a ruck that has load lifters? Getting some of the weight off your shoulders and only focused on your chest and hips/legs might help. I’d been using a Rucker 4.0 to train for endurance rucks the past year out to 26 miles with a goal of finishing it in about 8 hour and I can b

Recommendation

If all you plan to do is plate carry rucking, and are wanting to One bag your travel, the GoRuck GR1 or GR2 are good choices. Yeah, expensive, but SCARS and durability are the additional benefits. If you’re planning to carry heavy loads (>30% of your bodyweight), the surplus 2DAP/3DAP or MOLLE assau
