What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?

+1 on a good quality computer chair that fits YOUR needs vs just an expensive chair is the key. I did months of research and settled on a Haworth Fern. Best $1500 I’ve ever spent. Granted, no chair in the world is going to be comfortable after so many hours of sitting, but having the right adjustmen

Would you prefer a Herman miller or secretlab?

I’d prefer Herman Miller, but I’ve got a Haworth Fern now and love it. Had a Secret Lab Titan Evo for about a year and it just felt like a brick and wasn’t comfortable at all

Chair recs for nontraditional sitter

I'm not nor was i ever a ballerina but find myself seated in these positions regularly, sans #2. My Haworth Fern has been excellent in terms of comfort for my various sitting positions. Haworht and Herman Miller make fantastic office seats, but they cost a bit more than the big box store office chai

Ergonomic desk chairs in Sydney

I'd also check out the Haworth Fern. There's a Haworth showroom near Wynyard. I've had mine for four years and it's both amazingly comfortable, fully ergonomic, and still looks brand new. Much more comfortable than a Aeron chair for me, and cheaper too.

Ergonomic office chairs

Haworth makes some incredible chairs. I sat in their Fern model for a few days at a customer site and wept as I left 😉. Sadly no showrooms in Oregon that I know of.

How are y’all dealing with tech related body pains?

Invest in a good quality chair. I have a Haworth Fern and it’s so much better than any OfficeMax special I’ve had in the past.

What chair do you use?

I have the Haworth Fern that I bought refurbished for $800. Worth every penny. I went to a store that sold refurbished high end office equipment intending to buy a Steelcase, but the Fern was much more comfortable. I love that the seat tilts down which helps my circulation.

Help with larger chair recommendations

those specific seat measurements narrow it down a lot. i'd look at Steelcase Leap V2 with adjustable seat depth - hits 20" easily and back is tall enough. the Haworth Fern has a 41" back and cushion is way softer than Secretlab, not stiff at all. also check SitOnIt Wit Home Edition, depth goes to 20

WFH by Day, Gaming by Night

It's the best chair I've ever sat in and after the first week I've had zero back pain when getting up from long periods at the computer unlike with my racing chair bucket seat that I had. Moneywise it's hard to say - between the chair and headrest it was like $2,000. That's a crap ton of money to sp

Any other women here on the shorter/petite side who’ve actually found an ergonomic chair that fits properly long term?

This chair is a little pricey and I'm 5 5 so your mileage may vary but I love my Haworth Zody-- cute, very comfortable! (And I can sit cross-legged comfortably.) They also have other models with more adjustments available; this one lets you adjust lumbar, arm rests, tilt and I think distance from se
