Omen 17

Hp Omen 17, 32gb ram, i9 13900hx, rtx 4080. It runs, barely. 150k+ cities lag a lot, only reduced after installed several mods. Also fans blasting full power most of the time. I put the settings all on High and dlss on automatic, so there's almost no graphical lag.

The inductor which applies the fans with power is right next to the CPU and right below the keyboard (the exact location varies by model), so overtime thermal and mechanical stress cycles are causing the solder connection to break. I completely understand you. My Omen 17 with a 13700HX and RTX 4080 had the issue where the fans randomly stop working, and to this day they haven’t provided a solution. There’s no way to speak to anyone important at HP—you have to deal with bots or employees who just copy and paste random solutions

I Buy an HP Omen 17 laptop with 12GB RAM and the 1050TI at 2017 nad start restarting and overheating in the next weeks for the purcharse. At the 2018 end they battery dies and only works (like a turtle) with electric connection. Never could play anything more of 20 min without Thermal throttling. HP
