Chair recommendations

Humanscale Freedom Chair by Niels Diffrient is the one I usually suggest. Not cheap, but worth it and mine lasted more than a decade. This is very dependent on region, but many freelancers can write off items like task chairs out of thier taxes? If you work from home as an an employee, an OH report

Expensive WFH Chair: is it worth it?

I bought a Humanscale Freedom chair about 9 years ago. Cost me $2000. And I still use it everyday and it looks to last me the rest of my career. One of my best purchases in private practice.

New to WFH: Standing Desk & Chair Recommendations?

I bought an almost new HumanScale Freedom Task chair 10 years ago. I've replaced the gel seat and arm pads 1x. It's the best chair I've ever owned. Retails $1,300-$1,800 new. Worth every penny.

Where do you all get your ffice chairs from?

I work in the office furniture industry, so we basically get our pick of ex sample or second hand chairs for working. Everyone in my office sit on Herman Miller chairs except me. Will never go Razer again

Yup. I have a used leather humanscale freedom chair which coming up to 10 years old. Still looks and works like it's new. And I only paid 150 for it 😊. Razer is all vibe and zero quality.

What’s one product you bought that turned you into a total snob — like, you can never go back to the cheap stuff?

Have been WFH since 2011. Started with the desk chair I already had which became uncomfortable the first day. I wasted a lot of money attempting cheaper solutions - found a used Humanscale Freedom Chair that was excellent and I used it for years. Finally got over it and paid for a brand new Steelcas

Finding ergonomic / gaming chairs for 6ft+ tall people

My significant other is 6'10 and best he found is Humanscale Freedom. We went around to have him try all the ergonomic chairs we could find. None of the Steelcase or Herman Miller chairs were any good and we tried all the most popular models.

What's the best office chair for lower back pain you've ever purchased?

For that budget, the premium models from Herman Miller and Humanscale are probably out. Though for something I use everyday at home for my home office, my Humanscale Freedom is worth every penny. Though if you're like most cities, there should be a few companies that are office furniture resellers,
