Big Student

Honestly, just a navy blue jansport big student. Bigger than I need by a lot so if I have to grab anything extra, I can do so easily (i.e. stow a jacket for when it’s 35° in the morning and 75° by 11am.)

I am also a jeans-and-tee type gal, and depending on how casual you want to get, or how much you're carrying, I really love Jansport everything and they are way under your budget. Also durable and washable. I especially love their Fifth Avenue Waist Pack/Sling and own four in different colors/patter

Jansport is really durable and has a ‘80s throwback vibe. I think the Big Student model is good, it has a tablet sleeve inside. Fjallraven is cool but most of the versions have really uncomfortable thin straps. They have one with thicker padded straps, it’s the one with the tablet sleeve. L.L. Bean

For that amount of stuff I’d look at something around 21-26L, not a small fashion backpack. You’ll want a padded laptop pocket, two main compartments, comfy straps, and a side pocket for a bottle. You might look at the Jansport big student backpack. They hold a ton and can take a beating. They are also fairly comfortable to carry. I have used one for years.

The JanSport Big Student backpack will fit all this. It’s spacious, has lots of compartments. Only thing is only has one pocket for a water bottle on the outside. The other bottle would need to go inside the bag. That said, both my kids have these (14 & 9, nine year old is tiny and handles it fine).
