Kali makes excellent powered speakers for the money. You said in a comment your budget is $500. Where should a beginner start?
I think the Kali LP-6 v2 or the Kali MM-6 are a pretty great option for newbies, because they’re active (powered). Just plug in your source and they sound great. Under $500 a pair. I just bought a pair of MM-6’s for my bedroom recently
