REN

I was personally pretty impressed with the REN, though Kanto doesn't specify they are a "bookshelf" speaker, rather a soundbar replacement. I was on the hunt for budget desktop speakers and ended up keeping the LSX II LT and absolutely love them. I have them paired with an SVS SB1000 which absolutely ties them together. If high fidelity and clear detail are the priority (or in other words, accurate/flat frequency response and low distortion output) then I highly recommend the Kali Audio LP-6 v2 active studio monitors. For a more living room friendly alternative in size and looks, I can also recommend the Kanto REN.

My picks would be KEF LSX II LT or Kanto REN. Can find the KEF used on ebay or fb marketplace under $600 and the REN is $500 new on amazon right now. Both are active speakers with HDMI so it will be a simple setup.

You just mentioned the 2 subs I'm looking af upgrading to. You sort of have my dream set up at the moment.. R3's and an SVS 3000. I'd be really interested to try out the Kanto Tuk with the ribbon style tweeter. Also, Fluance Ri71 are really interesting to me right now but I'm not going to get more s
