Am I crazy for preferring these Kanto YU powered bookshelf speakers over my Martin Logan motion 4i's?

I love my Kanto speakers too! I recently upgraded my living room from Kanto TUK to Martin Logan XT B100, and honestly I prefer the sound of the TUK. I just wish Kanto made a louder TUK. I have the Kanto yu2 as desktops and those are nice too.

Speaker Recommendation Help - Fluance RT 85 and Schiit Mani 2

Kanto Tuk is worth considering. Build in phono stage, so you won't need the Mani. Easily hooks up to your tv as well. Speakers are powered, and include Bluetooth. They will sound fabulous in your space!

Best Desktop Speaker? ($1000-$3500)

For my desktop setup I have Kanto TUK speakers on the SP6 stands. Paired with a SVS 3000 micro for the sub. I like that the speakers are smaller than normal bookshelf speakers but bigger than tiny desktop speakers. The setup is about $2k full retail if you can’t wait for a sale. Powered speakers so

Looking for desktop speakers for general use and vinyl < $500 (USA)

Get a powered set from Kanto. Either the YU6 or the TUK.

KEF LSX II and KC62 combo

I have the impression I would find the LSX II too lacking, even with the understanding of how small it is. The LS50 II being the better keeper end game model. But spending that kind of money I really would find the nearest town/city where they had this on display to listen myself or just budget that

What part of my system should I upgrade?

The thinking for hi-fi in the 70s was three way split between turntable amp and speakers. Then Linn came along and source made the difference turntable deck, arm, cartridge, amp then speakers. Modern systems using streaming, DAC now consider the speaker as king. But rubbish in rubbish out is still t

Is there any point in getting a subwoofer?

Your speakers have no sub-woofer output. They have built in amp. So you can't add sub or amplifier. Replace with powered speakers like Kanto Yu4, YU6 or TUK, Triangle AIO or others with a sub out or go for a small amplifier and passive speakers for more boxes and cables, separate DAC or AV Receiver

Are Parts Express' Speaker Kits Worthwhile?

Not a hearing problem, it checks out with the ENT. I can get a set of quality PC speakers like Klipsch Promedia or Logitech's long discontinued Z-560 setup and they sound great at background / talking volume nearfield or far and sound the same across the volume / gain setting range. There is a disti
