Speaker Demo - Day 1

For a room that size, you're going to need a beast of a loudspeaker to fill that size of space. You'll also need a multi-subwoofer bass system if you want solid, in-room bass response. The KEF Q11 Meta towers and two or more RSL Speedwoofer 10S subs is a good solution. Besides being a damn good subw

Are KEFs extra sensitive to placement?

Recent Kef speakers (including the Q1) have adopted an "extended bass shelf", which is just another way of saying that they are tuned to require boundary reinforcement for normal bass levels. Here's an example of what that looks like. Other speakers are designed to be as flat as possible anechoicall

What would be a good Speaker upgrade for me?

KEF Q1 Metas are currently on sale for $399. Heck of a speaker for that price. Neutral/bright leaning. Not much bass. Incredible clarity. If you can spend a little more check out Elac DBR62 or Ascend Sierra-1 V2. Reviews for both of those speakers are off the charts. That said, I agree with the othe

I have owned my Wiim Amp Pro and KEF Q1 Meta speakers for a year and really the only thing that I think is need is more power and possible a small sub. I plan to upgrade to a Wiim Amp Ultra which has 100w vs 60W currently with my Amp Pro. I want to keep my system as simple as possible for my office.

My system - Originally Comes From Studio liquidation

I also had those JBL monitors before upgrading to Kef Q1 Metas, HS grad gift from my dad. Even nowadays they still rip pretty nice with a decent sub 😎

Suggestions for desk speakers

With smaller speakers for a desk, you’re gonna want speakers plus a subwoofer for your bass heavy music. If speakers are passive, you’ll need some kind of streaming amp (Wiim, Aiyima, Fosi). Could make a nice desk setup with one of those KEF Q1 meta or Philharmonic Audio True Mini’s, and an RSL 10e.

Should I keep my B&W 607 S3 or switch to KEF (Q1, Q3, or Concerto)?

I'd go with the KEF Q Concerto Meta's unless you love the B&W house sound. I've heard a few of the KEF QM line & the B&W stuff, I personally find the KEF's to be more accurate and immersive: the coaxial/UniQ on the KEF is really nice. If you're looking for controlled & full bass + a clean sound, the
