Amazon is shooting it's self in the foot.
Ditched Amazon years ago because 1. What you're speaking on. 2. Hardware team just gave up after the Oasis 7" and have spent the past decade putting out nonsense with zero vision other than marketing while Boox, Kobo, Pocketbook keep iterating form and size and bezel considerations and 3. Other comp

Kindle Paperwhite or Kobo Clara BW?
Kobo's design has a sunken screen contrary to the Kindle. I have a first generation Clara and a Kindle Oasis 3. The plastic layers on the kindle's annoys the hell out of me. The image on the Kobo is top notch for me.

Best eReader for a migraine prone girly?
My eyes are a bit light sensitive and I have aura migraines occasionally. I have both the kindle oasis and the kobo libra colour, and I found the colour screen more comfortable to my eyes because it has a greyish background and not white like the b&w screen. Also, the texture of the colour filter ma

The Kindle Oasis was peak e-reader
I honestly find it uncomfortable, maybe I'm holding it wrong... The grey Kindle Keyboard was peak for me comfort-wise. The Oasis screen and front light are fantastic, though.

What book made you finally buy an e-reader?
i just thought the e-ink technology was super interesting and i got a second-hand Kindle 2 in 2009. i eventually decided i prefer physical books whenever possible and now the Kindle Oasis 3 is used only for out-of-print, free and hard to find texts.

Introducing Go 10.3 (Gen II) Series: Ideas that travel light.
sigh, so close to perfection. man, maybe moving to boox isnt the move for me. I was ready to ditch my rm2 and kindle oasis for a 10.3 and 7 bw, if it meant i could have one ecosystem with notes and ereader progress/anotations synced. but what the point is I gain a backlight and lose nice handwriting

pros & cons of x4?
Pros: lightweight, portable, affordable, easy to setup and customize. You can carry it in your pocket at all times. You can add whichever books you want. Numerous firmware variants available. Cons: no backlight (but that can easily be fixed with a small reading light). I have a Kindle Oasis, but I h

I miss physical buttons
I switched from Kindle Oasis to Kobo Libra Colour and I love it, no regrets. That said, colour e-ink is a bit hit or miss, some people love it, some people hate it. I like the colour screen more and find it to be more comfortable to my eyes precisely because the background is greyish and textured, s

Best e-reader with buttons?
I'm curious what you ended up doing for an ereader in the end? I'm the same age as you and I've been using my old Kindle keyboard since 2010! I love the buttons so much I just can't get used to a touchscreen. I've already replaced the battery once and it's draining quickly again so I'm trying to loo
