Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII
Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

My first foray into high quality speakers and I’m not sure what to expect.

KEF Q550 or Klipsch R-600F
There is no RP-600F. There are RP-600M, RP-600M II, RP-6000F, RP-6000F II, etc.. OP means this Klipsch R-600F. Not something I would recommend. It is from their entry level series. (The RP are “somewhat” OK-ish, if you like elevated treble etc.. But Reference series is probably just bad.)

Mimir vs Fiio R2R
I wouldn’t send it back as I live in EU, too much hassle. I preferred the sound of Serenade over built in Ultras DAC so theres that. And I run Klipsch RP-600M II which are bright by nature.

RP600M mk1 + SVS PB1000 PRO opinions?
The subwoofer is fine. But the speakers are either questionable, or down to your personal preferences: EAC review of Klipsch RP-600M.

Currently I’m listening to music on a Cambridge CXN V2 network streamer connected to Spotify Lossless, paired with a Cambridge CXA81 integrated amplifier and Klipsch RP-600M II speakers. I’m thinking about upgrading the system and would like to buy better speakers. What would you suggest for this se

Help me pick out an amplifier
Except the speakers are 86dB/2.83V/1m when measured in standards compliant way (not the bullshit way Klipsch specs state): EAC review of Klipsch RP-600M II. Also to better account for amplifier headroom one should subtract the headroom from the sensitivity number before calculating the SPL at a give

Klipsch RP-500M and RP-600M seem popular here, but there are mixed opinions. Audiophiles mostly against. They’re a good size for small and medium rooms, but they’re sort of forward and punchy. It’s like midrange down, bass and treble up.

Looking for bookshelf speakers
Thought? In measurements? Maybe you don’t have enough. Edit: Most bookshelf speakers have a sensitivity between 84 to 85dB/2.83V/1m. Therefore Klipsch RP-600M at 85.2dB/2.83V/1m is not “really sensitive” as you claimed. It is really average. Anyway, this is my last comment in this thread. I have exp

Speaker to emulate live dynamics?
The RP-600M I sure doesn’t. Bog standard sensitivity for a bookshelf speaker. And actually the impedance and phase angle is difficult for a Class AB amplifier. EPDR minimum is a low 1.7Ω. EAC review of Klipsch RP-600M Heritage models have higher sensitivity. (But again, you need to take at least 6dB
