First book on the 3ds

Don't buy a Kindle. Don't buy an old Kindle especially. Kindle 4s are about to be blocked from accessing the Kindle store entirely in a few days. You won't be able to register it either. You can get eInk readers with physical buttons from companies not named Amazon that are new, and still supported.

Bitter Sweet

Amazon's real market advantage is the near monopoly they have on content. They lock a lot of authors into exclusive agreements. KOReader will breath new life into your kindle. It has no store, which I see as a plus because I don't get suggestions, etc. Everything is sideloaded using Calibre. I repla

What ereaders are good?

I have had numerous e-readers over the years but currently have a Kobo Libra Colour and it's my favorite so far. The integration with libby is fantastic.

New Kindle Feature Uses AI to Answer Questions About Books—And Authors Can't Opt Out

If you want page turn buttons, I just (2 days ago!) switched from Kindle to Kobo (Libra Colour). I’m loving it so far, especially the page turn buttons (and the fact the power button isn’t on the bottom where I accidentally turn off my kindle when I rest it against something). I also love that it do

How to transition to an eReader

Highly recommend a Kobo of some kind. I transitioned to ereader only many years ago when I needed to have books take up less room in my house. I have a Kobo Libra Color after having a Kindle for many years, but I'd do your own research on which Kobo might be best for you. The Kobo Clara B+W is the m

My 13 year old wants an e-reader, help.

Get her a Kobo, it's repairable so if it breaks you don't need to buy a whole new one. Screen savers can be customised easily. I have a Kobo Libra Colour and it's super straight forward, just has the forward and back physical buttons when reading and is touch screen otherwise.

What’s your favorite e-Reader and why?

Kobo Libra Colour. I don’t personally want an Android based e-reader since I prefer my reading be distraction free, so I’ve always been partial to a dedicated device. I love annotating and highlighting books in different colours with the stylus, the physical buttons and the streamlined interface. It

Considering Switching From Kindle But The Libby Options Are Abysmal Elsewhere

Hi! I have a Kobo Libra Colour and I adore it! I am a former, long time Kindle user. Join the Kobo subreddit. There are a few workarounds for the library card situation and everyone in that subreddit is truly helpful.

Leaving Kindle, advice for new e-reader

Why ask ChatGPT about it? It can’t tell you anything your own research won’t conclude. AI complaint aside, I personally have a Kobo Libra Colour and I love it. I picked it because it has buttons, a good amount of storage, and a good size screen. I use it for manga and ebooks. It’s easy to sideload c

Companion eReader?

I really like my Kobo Libra Color. If you only read books and don’t care about color then the Kobo Clara BW is fantastic.
