Espresso machine with no plastic contact [serious]
It will have to be a manual lever such as Cafelat Robot or La Pavoni Europiccola. Even $6000 La Marzocco machines use plastic for the water tank and cold water lines feeding the pump, as does the Cellini. Better quality semi-auto machines such as Cellini are all metal for the water lines and compone

Thrift store find of the century! $30! and seems to be in good working order.
Now I am torn whether to keep this, or my La Pavoni Europiccola. Pulls a pretty good shot considering I'm just getting started with it: Came with manual and everything. I think this is a v1 from 1999. I am surprised by how good condition the machine appears to be in.

Any point of buying a Silvia if Profitec Go is priced almost the same?
I would honestly look at idrinkcoffee.com and get a returned QuickMill Pippa if you want something at the price of a Gaggia E24 or a QuickMill Popup which will cost about 1250 as a return or open box. The quickmills are very good machines that are well made and come with very good stock parts, the s

Continue to wait for fellow espresso series one, or move on to something else? [$3,500]
lol this thing always getting hate on here. I preordered mine as soon as I saw it mostly because of how great the Aiden has been for us. My first espresso machine was a vintage dual switch La Pavoni Europiccola. Bought it on eBay in 2018. It’s the only espresso machine I’ve ever owned. I learned how

Best Espresso Machine under $2k? [$2,000]
A La Pavoni Europiccola or Professional could be a good option for you. It will last you a life time, repairs are simple and parts are easily found. Makes traditional espresso and built to last.

Restoring a 25€ Pavoni Europiccola advice needed! [Pavoni Europiccola]
I would personally just get a whole set of gaskets if you can afford it. Coffee sensor have full service gasket kits for 50€ and for my rebuild (albeit I didn’t have ”new” gaskets like you do) it just was a no brainer. Realistically, check the ones you have. If they feel soft still and have no visib

Pinhole leak in the boiler
I would try the "loctite" fix suggested in this post first https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/s/fAfsFyAkCo Had the same issue with my La Pavoni Europiccola and its still going strong since over a year. I used Petec "Schraubensicherung superfest grün"

Best Dual Boiler Espresso Machine for Home [$5,000]
Do you want a machine that rarely brakes or do you want one that is easily repairable in case it breaks or both? Best track record are Olympia Cremina or La Pavoni Europiccola. Both exist now for 50 years+ with minimal changes and there are still models from the 70s running. The decent is built for

Colored bases
Thanks for your input. I think I saw your latest recolour somewhere online. With powdercoaring, my thoughts were that the powder coat colours might be more limited or not mixable. Then also the number of corrosion inhibiting primers could be a limitation. I was thinking of going in 2 different direc

Pre filling basket greatly increases output (air buster alternative)
That's a good method, and that sorta worked for me. But if I dose 21g, one pull gives me maybe 15g out. So what I used to do was just do two full pulls to get enough output, but channeling was just really hard to avoid for me with that. I think if I used a puck screen I'd probably be able to do it w
