Is ThinkPad E14 Gen 6 the right choice for a Finance major through 2030-2032?

E14s and E16s are what excel warriors who only commute between docking stations in office and home office are issued these days. Those are the right tool for the job. T- and P- series do have expensive chassis materials that E-series lack, but unnecessary if it's leading the docked life where it won

After one year with my T480 as my daily, it’s time to move on.

Here, The T480(s) generation was replaced with T14(s) Gen3 AMD. Drastically improved CPU/iGPU performance (6th gen Ryzen7 has 8 cores, iGPU faster than dGPU on T480), first gen that reverted to 16:10 displays again. Real-world battery life when new was around nine hours with the WUXGA screen, quiet

Good school laptop under 1000$

for college you want something light, good battery, and reliable. at that budget id look at the lenovo thinkpad e14 or the macbook air m3. thinkpad if you want windows and a keyboard you can type on all day, macbook air if you want something that lasts 15+ hours on battery and just works. either one

are these good specs for a laptop?

Yeah that HP 14 is fine for general work, school, Zoom, docs, emails, etc it’ll handle what you need. If you want something higher quality for a similar price, these are good options: Dell Inspiron 14/15 solid everyday laptop, Lenovo ThinkPad E14 / L14 great keyboard and reliability, Acer Swift 3 li

Hot take: Lenovo should simplify the Thinkpad line

Nope, other than the hinge issue it’s solid as a rock. Maybe the keyboard is wearing out quicker than I’d expect it to. But the rest of the laptop has been great so far. The cooling system is a absolute insanity. The little thing never get higher than 60c. Not to mention that it’s extremely light, l

E14 Ryzen 5 7530U For €250

For that price, I think it's an OK deal: Spec-wise that E14 gen5 AMD (2024) roughly comparable with T14 gen2 AMD (2021) or L14 gen3 AMD). E14 gen5 AMD also comes either with 47wh or 57wh battery vs 50wh (T14 gen2 AMD). It should last at least 5 hours (or 5.5 hours) or more in lighter office apps and

Laptop for college and lighter gaming on the side (Indie titles and emulation)

For your use case, I'd lean toward something with a Ryzen 5 or 6 series APU - the integrated graphics handle indie games and emulation really well without needing a dedicated GPU that kills battery life. ASUS Vivobook or Lenovo IdeaPad series usually hit that sweet spot of decent keyboards and reaso

Looking to buy a ThinkPad ; T14 G3 i7-1260p VS E14 G7 AMD Ryzen 7 250

I have an E14 Gen 2 and a P14s Gen 5. The E14 has the better quality. The keyboard of the E§14 Gen2 is vastly superior to the P14s Gen 5.But that is not necessarily useful to you as Lenovo changed the keyboards at some point for worse ones.In terms of screen, it is good enough and if I need better re
