New Panther Lake. What should I benchmark?
Sleep and wake seems very fast, better than my Gen11 X1 Carbon anyway. With windows hello it feel like you are instantly in. Only got it today so will report back on battery life later.

The "problem" is that all distros use essentially the same kernel... you might find some variance in battery life between distros, but it won't be significant. The issue here is that extreme battery life isn't often a reality, even in Windows... and it often relies on very aggressive and proprietary

Putting Linux on a Thinkpad is the smartest thing someone can do.
Yeah I did it on an x1 Carbon I bought second hand and it’s so fast. BTW you’ll probably get more battery life if you use Fedora or Ubuntu. I started with Mint and went Fedora because Fedora gives me hours more battery life. I’m a Mint fan and use it for my PC but I really like Fedora, even just GUI
