Minisforum AI X1 or UM790
Here's my personal perspective. Seen too many UM790 Pro mPCs on the diagnostics bench in front of me to be an advocate, notably as a long-term investment. It's a much older platform, with little to no innovation or improvements. The AI-X1 on the other hand, after seeing my first one for the first ti

I’m new to mini pcs is this a good one for the price . People tell me they all have overheating issues.
That is offensively overpriced. https://refurbished.minisforum.com/products/refurbished-minisforum-um790-pro?variant=48403552174369 They are fine for general purpose computing.

This game is so peak it hurts
Something like the MINISFORUM Venus UM790 Pro is probably what you're leaning towards, but beware the longevity of those lower tier mini pcs are ass. Unless you want the one from ROG that's like $2000 then go for that but at that point just buy a full rig and stream it to the living room instead

Mini pc for rouvy, thoughts?
I would recommend the Apple TV. As a mini PC with Windows 11 I have a Minisforum UM790 Pro. It runs Lightroom, Photoshop and Davinci Resolve. I would also advise this with Rouvy. With the Apple TV you get away cheaper and have a remote control with which you can also control Netflix or YouTube.

Raspberry Pi raises prices due to ram shortage
People need my Minisforum UM790 Pro that cost £500 to run Pihole? Then these people are very odd. As I said at the outset - different devices, different use cases. You seem to have taken it as Pis can do anything that PCs can do, which is the opposite of what I said.
